In today’s world the personal computer is as common as a toaster. Almost every household has at least one computer. According to a 2001 survey over 65% of the population in the United States uses a computer. We use the computer to surf the Internet, keep track of our finances, email friends and relatives and play games. There are limitless possibilities for the use of computers. They have made typewriters and filing cabinets and thing of the past. However like any other parts of our society the pc is not safe from being harmed. There are computer viruses and spyware applications that can attack your computer. If your computer has been freezing up, giving you strange illegal operation error messages, or just not working properly it may be time to rebuild it.
Rebuilding your computer isn’t as difficult as you may think. Most anyone who has some basic computer skills and who isn’t afraid of taking a risk is capable of rebuilding a pc. You need to allow three to five hours of your time. Rebuilding your computer involves formatting your local hard disk first, and then reinstalling your operating system again. You will lose any personal folders and files you have on the hard disk, and programs not included in the operating system will have to be reinstalled. You will need to copy off the data you created. This is the information that you created in Word, Excel or Powerpoint. You should also backup your email messages along with your Internet favorites. You may choose to copy the data onto a CD or if your computer is networked, then copy it onto another computer or a network drive.
Next you need to verify that you have legal copies of the computer operating system. A legal copy allows you the ability to get the most up to date computer patches.
You need to get the most current software drivers for devices such as printers and scanners. The drivers are usually found on the CDs or disks that came with your computer and accessories. If you no longer have these disks, then you will need to download the latest drivers from the appropriate website. However, the newer operating systems like Windows XP and Windows 2000 usually contain the drivers needed to make these devices work.
The next step to take is to reinstall the operating system. You will need the Windows CD and serial number that came with your computer for this.
In the world today, computers are used in every field. Be it a major space exploration or a small chore like cleaning our room. The use of computers has made our lives easier but at the same time a computer failure can make our lives miserable too. We trust computers more than we trust anything else these days. We use computers to communicate, share personal information, buy goods online, etc. We also trust computers with our safety. Starting from house alarm systems and other safety devices we have now moved on to using computers to Test Car Crashes.
It is recommended that all personal computers be backed up. Copies of the personal computer files
At this point, I would attempt to recover all of the information from the system, and place it on an external media mass storage device, like a flash drive, or external hard drive. If the system is damaged to the point that it would not start up, or boot, I would remove the hard drive from the computer, and install it on a separate computer as the secondary hard drive. Doing this means that the hard drive does not need to start up, but will only work if the filing system on the hard drive is intact, thus allowing the information to be removed. To disconnect, and reconnect the hard drive:
PC clean up is necessary to do in the PC. The computers that are running on Windows operating system should be free from junk files. There are so many programs and associated files in the computer. All of the program files are located at the C drive or in the system sub folder. The files play an important role into the computer on running apps and functions.
On some vehicles it maybe better to remove the body of the vehicle from the frame. this will require unhooking everything from the fire wall of the vehicle. Sometimes this will take lots of time. remember to label all the wires when removing them this will help in the reinstallation process. Also the steering column must be removed from the vehicle and all of the dash. After this you can remove the body mounting bolts from the frame and slowly remove the body from the vehicle.Muscle Car Restoration (How to Restore A basket Case.)

Computers are main technological features that allow criminals to step into unsuspecting victims lives. With a simple piggy-backing program hackers are able to track every keystroke made by the victim. One such program is called spyware, not to be confused with adware, which is often referred to interchangeably with spyware, but is potentially harmless (Louis 15). Spyware, hidden within downloaded software, implants itself deep within a computer’s hard drive, allowing it to track every move made by the user (Louis 16). Once inside a system, spyware can gather e-mail addresses, passwords, and credit card numbers.

Sadly, many people refuse to face the onslaught of computer technology. A 1994 survey conducted by Dell Computers indicated the 55% of Americans are phobic or resistant to computers (Column). In addition, many important people, including CEOÕs of major companies, are rumored to be computer illiterate (Column). The former CEO of IBM even admitted to never using a computer (Column). Fortunately, PC’s are becoming more and more user friendly as the technology improves. Fewer errors, less maintenance and quicker functioning should encourage many reluctant people to finally step into the new era.
What I knew about my computer was how to turn on and off by pressing the big button at the bottom of my computer. I turned on the computer and had no idea what to do next, but I was still happy. I just clicked on everything and did not know how t o go back to the previous screen. Whenever I had problems with my computer, I just turned off the computer. It was pretty simple to clear my computer problems by pressing the power switch. The power switch was a problem solver.
