Upon completing the Bachelor's of Science degree, I will go on to obtaining my Master's either through the Kaplan University program, or at DownState School of Medicine which is a graduate school. The ultimate goal is to be in Public Health and later open up a Dialysis center in Jamaica. This however will require a lot of dedication to achieving this but through the wealth of experience, I have managed to develop a lot of support and close friends that are willing to assist in me achieving these goals particularly the Dialysis Center. This will be very costly, but with the support of political influences and the friendship developed throughout the health care community and the nature of business, they are very willing in funding this business venture with almost the entire cost as it will be targeting the low line communities that are finding it difficult to obtain …show more content…

They assist in constructing a professional Resume that will be impressive enough to getting you one step closer to that job opportunity. Apart from the writing services offered, they also help to prepare you for interviews and the questions you may face as well as how to answer appropriately. They also encourage you to dress for success and provide tips on the proper attire that is required when going on a interview for your career. It takes about four years to complete the courses and is equal to 180 credits for the classes at Kaplan University. If I decide to manage a nursing home facility, I will need to pass the licensing exam for nursing home administration after I have received my degree in health care administration. Some courses that are taken include Healthcare Policy and Economics, Finance for Health Care, and Medical Office Management. Many further their career and continue their education on to receive a Master’s. Thus opening more job options.
Healthcare administration provides leadership and managemnt to health care systems, hospitals, and private or public health systems. There are requirements for most professions in the health industry but with the proper education and certification, most entry-level careers are attainable. Healthcare administrators are leaders so one must be able to handle the responsibility of the job. There are characteristics that can be associated with being a health care administrator. I have learned over the course of the past few weeks that this the career path that I would like to follow and have set a few goals to help promote my career growth. Healthcare administration is a field that is often overlooked, but is essentially the beating heart of any healthcare organization. With more and more hospital, and clinics, and other healthcare organizations popping up everywhere there is a need for people like me to manage the day-to-day operations. Leaders in healthcare have so many daily obligations that they have to meet and be responsible for. Today’s leaders have to keep up with scheduling, flexing, covering vacation, meetings, their department as a whole, and make sure everything runs smoothly. With the ever changing healthcare nurses have to be up to date on new technology, training, and new education. The department head is not only a supervisor; she is a bedside nurse meeting multiple demands. She takes on tasks that include everything from the bedside nurse, to unit meetings, to charge nurse, and to scheduling, just to name a few. Speaking to leaders and managers in healthcare today the stress is at all time high from the new healthcare reform, nursing shortages, and meeting daily productivity.

This research paper discusses some of the health care administrators’ daily activities that that may turn hazardous to the resources. This has been done in view of a hospital as an example of healthcare facility. The main reason for this is that a hospital is a complex, bustling patient centre and an interdisciplinary workplace for various personnel; yet the responsibility of keeping it running lies with the hospital administrator.
