Alaska and Hawaii are popular tourist destinations for their hotels, restaurants, environment, transportation, weather and natural beauty. However, if you compare both places we are going to find that there are several similarities and differences between Alaska and Hawaii. In 2010 My family went to a make a wish foundation for both Hawaii and Alaska vacation we were so excited to go to these unforgettable places. The similarities for these vacations is the places that we stayed at were both really fancy and well put together. We went during the spring time. The scheduling part was a breeze they everything went well. Finding activities was really easy they had both a large variety of things to do. Magical moments were they both were for make …show more content…
Inside all the restaurants were all sandy like the grown was and it was like kinda like a open place it waset closed off at all and we had aot of fun just seeing that alone. My favorite place to eat there was called Roys beach house it was so good. The scheduling part was easy for us because it was always warm and it stayed light till 10oclock at night and so we could do more fun things in the day. There were so many activites to do there. We had to do some kid friendly stuff since me and my sister were only 8 and 9 years old we seen so many water shows on the beach we went parasailing, tubing, building sand castles on the beach, My family loved to just sit back on the beach and watch the sunset since are resort was right up the way. We went to the aquarium like 10 times well at least it felt like it. We went whale watching in the middle of nowhere. We went zip lining which we all loved, we visited pearl harbor like a private tour. We also got to see a little tiny volcano erupt. We went to this really cool waterfall and we could go jumping off that we had a really fun time with the activities. The magical moments in Hawaii were that my aunt and uncle got married. They got married on the beach at sunset and it was really pretty and we had timed the make a wish foundation trip just right so we could go to the wedding. The sunset was
Hawaii is rated as one of the top tour destinations in the world. Nearly 8 million tourists visited the islands annually, and eighty-two percent of these tourists traveled to there for the purpose of vacation, honeymoon, or to get married. (Beal). Hawaii is generally viewed as a place to escape from
Honolulu, Hawaii and Nassau, Bahamas are two very popular tourist destinations. However, in two different oceans, they are both located on an island. The cities each attract tens of thousands of visitors a year. It can difficult to try and decide which place to spend a vacation. I have vacationed in both these places. Honolulu, Hawaii is the best place to travel due to its superior weather, tourist attractions and resorts, and culture.
In the central area of the Pacific Ocean lies the Hawaiian Islands spanning 2,400 kilometers long beginning at Kure Island, located in the northwest to big island of Hawaii (Edge of Fire). This island is 3,000 kilometers away from the nearest continent, which is North America. The creation of the islands today came from “Hotspots”, which are characterized as plumes of magma rising from the mantle of the Earth through the continental crust, creating huge shield volcanos which contribute to the land mass that subsequently gets created. With the help of divergent (creation) and convergent (destruction) zones, the Earth’s crust eventually moves the newly created landmass off the Hot Spot plume, effectively rendering the volcano extinct, and allowing for new land to be created over the still stationary (and active) plume in the mantle.
I chose to write my essay on these two cultures, because they are both native to their land, and they were both overthrown, for lack of a better word, from their homeland by more “Civilized” people. They were both thriving, self sufficient cultures that were living and progressing fine on their own. But others saw them as primitive and wanted to change them. This is what I think they have most in common.
The Islands of Hawaii are located in the Pacific Ocean with eight main islands. Its climate is mild and summer highs are usually in the upper 80s and winters are in the low 80s. There are also wet and dry seasons on the islands. Due to the rain, The islands has become Lush and green. The Ancient Hawaiians had obtained sustainability through their water conservation and water protection rules. They also protect their environment with water protection rules, fish conservation, and use sustainable farming practices.
Aloha from the people of Hawaii and their culture! Have you ever wanted to visit Hawaii for fun activities, or to enjoy the amazing sights? Well, then Hawaii is a great travel destination! However, if you were to visit the islands, it would be great to learn a little about its people and culture! Luckily that’s exactly what we are going to talk about, so you can get to know the people of these magnificent islands a bit better. The culture of the native Hawaiian people is very colorful and unique because of its cuisine, hula dances, and religion.
We got to do an obstacle course. We also had a water slide and snow cones. My favorite part about last years was the dodge ball tournament. For this year I am hoping we can get two water slides. It was fun with one, but it would be even better with two.
Hawaii, a place where tourists sip on their Mai Tai and enjoy strolls on soft sandy beaches overlooking the crystal blue ocean that reflects the sun-oh-so-nicely. A place to send the kids off to Hula lessons while the parents can finally get that outdoor massage they deserve. How could someplace resemble paradise so closely? No wonder it’s a signature vacation spot for families all over the world. One might ask how one of the world’s most
Both islands have several similarities in common like the volcanoes, the weather and the landscape. Although, I never go to the Big Island both islands have beautiful sceneries from looking at pictures and seeing it in real life because I live in Oahu. Also there are many important hawaiian birds in all the islands ; however, there’s a special hawaiian bird because it represent the islands of Hawaii. The bird that represent Hawaii is the nēnē or the hawaiian goose.
Arvin discusses the representation of Native Hawaiians and the complexity surrounding this identity. Native Hawaiians have been denied the status of indigenous people and had their land taken away. Arvin explains several cases of spectacle philanthropy which aim to solve issues like the growing homeless population while ignoring the deeper causes to these problems. Native Hawaiians are expected to simultaneously perform as “good citizens” working towards the American dream while at the same time be culturally different. Many Native Hawaiians do not consider themselves U.S. citizens and are often overlooked in media and political representation. Arvin argues that rhetoric surrounding Native Hawaiians is built on a U.S.-centered framework and must be examined with a global perspective in order to productively challenge modern thought. Analyzing Native Hawaiians and the Akaka bill in a comparative global frame can also assist in a broader understanding of citizenship and indigeneity.
Knowing that these two islands aren’t that far apart, it’s weird that they experience different things. Oahu has a warm tropical climate with rain every now and then but mostly sunny. On the other hand, Hawai’i has a much more colder climate that had a lot of moisture, which meant there’s usually a lot of vog and rain. It is so cold there, that there’s even snow in certain places. From personal experience, I learned that I couldn’t just wear shorts and a t-shirt.
For Hawaii is a major tourist destination for people around the world, and offers great weather, fun activities, and beautiful sceneries. Most people go to Hawaii to get away from their cold weather at home. Hawaii has consistent weather throughout the year.

We went for a camping in Maine at Pinehurst Campground to spend for outing. We setup for tents and we sleep in tents and my parents sleep in campers and we set up fire pits to roast marshmallows to eat and keep ourselves warm at night. We went to the Boardwalk and they had many things to
