Happiness Article Analysis Happiness is a universal feeling and it is most commonly associated with a smile. In many countries there are different levels of happiness, in our country happiness is a goal that we all have. The obstacle to achieving this goal is “finding” happiness, which is an idea, not an object, and it can be hard to find. Many people try to find happiness by using books, videos, or listening to motivational speakers. The argument about money and if it can bring happiness is prevalent today and can be an engaging topic. The article discusses happiness and a few of the many complications associated with happiness. The article is named “Nation The Happiness of Pursuit.” The authors Kluger, Aciman, and Steinmetz wrote this article for “Time Magazine”. It discusses happiness in many ways, including details about what happiness is from a neurological and physical standpoint. The authors say “If you’re an American and you’re not having fun, it just might be your own fault.” But then go on to say when finding happiness the “nature of the modern world has made it harder than ever.” This creates conflict when being read and can affect the way the reader will see the claim. One interpretation of the article might be thought of as easy to find happiness in the more modern world, and the other interpretation will be seen as the modern world making it harder to find happiness. The authors also say that “No American simply inherits happiness by dint of genes or birthplace or a brain set to sunny”. Earlier in the article it was said that genes do play a role in happiness “Serotonin and dopamine are often, simplistically, thought of as feel-good neurotransmitters.
