In Hamlet, Laertes, Hamlet, and Fortinbras fathers all passed away. But Hamlet dealt with his father’s death in a different way then Laertes and Fortinbras did. This allows us to see Hamlet’s imperfection. We learn that Hamlet kills Fortinbras’ father and then takes that land. However, he did not react in the way that Hamlet reacted to his father’s death. Fortinbras felt like it was necessary to avenge his father’s death and get the land that Hamlet took back. So Fortinbras built and army, but his Uncle stopped him from sending his army to attack Denmark. The way that Fortinbras reacted to Hamlet killing his father made Hamlet look very childish. In Act three Hamlet kills Laertes’ father, Polonius, because he was a rat and was eavesdropping
