The sand scorches the bottom of my feet. The sun looks down on me and puts its fiery blaze upon me. The air is stuffy and my lungs are having trouble taking in air. I am already drenched with sweat, and I’ve only been out the car for two seconds! I drag myself through the vast desert to get to water. I pray to the heavens that the water would satisfy my feet, and that my feet would be taken to paradise. But once I’m in the water I don’t feel sand under my feet anymore. I look down to see that I am standing on rocks. It is as if Hades has come and punished me to the underworld. Who would put rocks here? My foot comfort level is now at zero. There are too many people, the water looks like there is sewage being dumped nearby, the rocks I am standing on are beyond uncomfortable and dangerous. Take me back to the beaches I’m used to and love.
Calculations of today’s weather proves that today is the best day to come out and enjoy the nice, warm sand and water. On top of that, there are not too many people here today. Just enough space for me and my floaty to go floating in the water. I run fast to the water to be confronted by rocks. Once standing on them, they act as tiny foot masseuses. I feel that I have reached my happy place, for that I am at a state of maximum comfort. The Earth has blessed this place. I float in the water on my floaty like a rubber duck in a bathtub and look up at the grayed sky. Why would anyone else want to be anywhere else? The semi-blue water flows by my side. The water glistens under the sun rays as crystals under the moonlight. At least it is not as hot as most other days. I haven’t sweated a drop and I’ve been out here for thirty minutes. I paddled with my feet further out into the water. The vastness welcomes me and tells me to go further. There aren’t really any waves, unless you are at the shore, where they crash down on you like mountains, so I just about stay at the place I want to
