Habitudes has taught very important lessons to new leaders and leaders that need a little help. Also habitudes help leaders influence others in positive ways, helps minimize bullying, helps people understand their character, and develop critical thinking skills. Some chapter lessons that stood out are The Iceberg, The Starving Baker, The Funhouse Mirror, The Oversized Gift, and The Personal Laptop. This habitude is about feeding yourself for personal growth. This picture of the baker makes sense because leaders are like bakers, they feed other people but forget to feed themselves, that's where the starving part comes in. Leaders can use this habitude in their lives by building self confidence before leading a group. Building self confidence is important because it gives you strength and discipline. This habitude is about how leaders can sabotage themselves when their gift is bigger than they are, and when leaders depend on their gift and forget their character. The picture of an oversized gift is a excellent representation of how leaders can view their gift(s). The gifts can either be small meaning the leader does not appreciate the gift, or the gift can be huge because the leader relies on the gift or talent. Today's society wants people to believe only a couple of people have gifts and leaders may take that to heart and solely rely on their gift and lose to true value of their gift.
