Genesis 1:26 – And God said, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky and over the livestock and all the wild animals and over all the creatures that move along the ground”.
However you come to believe the origins of humanity it is clear that as a species we hold dominion over all the world. No other species, individually or collectively has more influence on planet earth. There are taller, bigger, stronger forms of life. And in terms of bio mass there are forms of life that are more numerous but none can claim domonion except human kind.

Decreased water quality, increased pollution and depletion of natural resources are direct results but there are secondary effects that are a part of a series of actions and reactions(seatlepi.com). The impact of human activity can most easily be observed through our water and one of the biggest impacts on water is excess nutrient inputs from the overuse of fertilizers globally and from oil and chemical spills and dumping regionally. The majority of air pollution comes from fossil fuel combustion from vehicles including airplance, factories and power plants.
Much of the confusion and disagreement around anthropogenic climate change is due to words and terminology to define it as well as the ability to quantify the data, however, it is clear that humanity has the ability to influence and change the climate and environment of the earth. On the local level we sit it in the quality of our air, water and food and on the global scale with the mass wasting of ice
