Green Lifestyle Global warming is a major dilemma that mankind has brought upon himself. The destruction of rainforests, exhaustion of nonrenewable resources and mass extinction of species have damaged planet earth to the point of no return. Man has lived with nature as one for billions of years but now he lives against nature. To stop the destruction of his home, governments should encourage man to adopt a green lifestyle. Although a green lifestyle might sound complicated, all sacrifices made are rewarded, persuading the nation’s people would be simple and converting to a green lifestyle would hardly change current life. A nation will undoubtedly need to make numerous sacrifices to become green. In time, these sacrifices will be rewarded, mostly economically. Many people believe that a green lifestyle entails living in the woods, growing your own food and being completely self-sustaining. Because of this, green living is often associated with a negative connotation since people are fond of their lavish city lifestyle and expensive technology. The government needs to show its people that that is not the true meaning of a green lifestyle. It should show its people that they can still live a luxurious lifestyle while protecting the environment from further harm. Encouraging this lifestyle might cost excessive amounts of money and it won’t be easy but sometimes taking action the easy way is not always taking action the best way. Taking the best actions will always be the most gratifying. Works Cited AP PACKET
