Many actors have tricks to help them along the way. But it isn’t external props that make actors great; it is called soul. All great actors have what takes to make them distinctive. For example, actors like Fiona Shaw, Clare Higgins, Michael Gambon, Judi Dench say that “it's as if there is something coiled but restless inside them struggling to get out. When it does, the stage just ignites.”
The first thing a person must have is the ability to make their lines and the entire story believable and to make you feel they are not really acting at all. If the acting of the script comes across as stiff and one dimensional, then it pulls the audience out of the story and makes the movie less enjoyable to watch. Another important piece of acting is whether or not the actor believes in the story they are trying to tell. If this doesn’t happen, the movie lacks any dimension and

As these movies show, the behavior, tone of voice, and clothing are really what gives presence to a film and not necessarily just the words. The words of Shakespeare, while very poetic and beautiful, are dead without the emotion of an actor. The acting of the characters in Hamlet is what gave animation to the cinematic versions of Hamlet and that clearly shows that actions can be much stronger than just mere words.
The question of who is the best actor is quite the difficult choice, as there are many criteria to account for, such as their range, talent,
There 's nothing better than getting into your seat at a packed theater, settled in with your popcorn and snacks, and suddenly after just moments of the film you know it is going to blow you away. Many account the spectacular success in movies to the producers, directors, or actors, but how did they all find one another to make a spark on screen? A key player in making the connections and acting so amazing is the casting director, but many overlook this role. Essentially, casting is assigning a part in a movie, play, or other production, thus the casting director must find the perfect person for the job. What would be Forest Gump without Tom Hanks, or more recent parts such as Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss— we can 't image these roles played by anyone else. The casting directors picked them perfectly and knew what talent they would bring. Casting directors are crucial people when making a movie come to life and deserve more credit for their strenuous and imperative task.

Al pacino said, "The actor becomes an emotional athlete. The process is painful - my personal life suffers". In other words, "Acting is simply more than walking out on the stage" as Dr. Stevenson would put it. It is more than just reading the lines. To be a true actor, I believe it takes inner capabilities such as learning life. In all the books I have read, all the chapters we have reviewed in class, and in all honesty…Al Pacino is an actor I cannot forget.

For example, the way everyone spoke in the movie and so clear with the accent. As well as another amazing acting scene is the doctor self-performance surgery on himself. Then captain Jack’s speech to his crew was great acting of friendship besides a connection with crew members. As a matter of fact, the fourth most important scene was the French pretending their captain was dead. A perfect movie character is one that the audience can form a complex, personal relationship with in the short time that a movie is viewed, displaying the art of acting and drama perfectly. When the thought of lovable movie characters is brought up, Johnny Depp will almost always be apart of the discussion. With his quirky, lively attitude which blends perfectly into roles that should not have soul, Johnny Depp is truly a one-of-a-kind actor. With a spectrum of characters Depp has played, ranging from Edward Scissorhands in the movie Edward Scissorhands (1990), to playing his role in 21 Jump Street (1987), up until the recent Pirates of the Caribbean (2003), he is involved in roles that “only the likes of Depp can pull off” (“Johnny Depp”, 1). Although coming from rebellious teenage years and many “ups and downs of his personal life” (“Johnny Depp Biography”, 2), the actor has become one of the great faces of the movie scene of his generation. Depp's success, which some could contribute to luck, was carved out of his pure talent for expressing raw emotion through the characters he played and his free-bird, wild attitude in his early years. His talent and spirit changed the face of acting and of rebelling. Johnny Depp's early life, countless classic works, and personal actions created a persona that molded a new face of acting and of free-spirit for his generation.
