Graphic design has the power to change the way we perceive the world and this is where my passion stems from. I have always had a fascination with visuals and the creative process, graphic design has given me an outlet to pursue this passion. Graphic design to me is essentially a language for living, its not only used to communicate an idea but to make peoples lives easier and I love that I can contribute towards that. I get an immense amount of gratification from developing an idea to its full potential through aspects such as advertising, packaging, branding and visualisation.
Over the past five years I have been pursuing graphic design both in and out of education. I have recently began to produce freelance work which includes promotional material and branding for small businesses such as an online game and a local construction company. This has given me great experience as a graphic designer as I witnessed the whole process and it as allowed me to interact with the clients. I posses experience and skill in necessary software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Google SketchUp as well as creating websites for personal projects. This course is perfect for me as I possess intelligence, originality and enthusiasm for the subject. I am able to experiment with different

aesthetics and processes to find unique ways for my ideas to come to fruition. I currently study Graphic Communication, Business Studies and Geography at A2.
Business studies as helped me critically analyse why things are done in particular ways which can be insightful when reflecting upon my own work. Geography has improved my awareness of contemporary global issues making me able to easily adapt to changes in culture, technology and society. I am mostly self taught in graphic design, however my previous studies (A level Art & Design Graphic Communication and GCSE D&T Graphics) have enabled me to discover and develop my own style through a series of different projects whilst learning crucial background knowledge from an overarching art & design
perspective. One of my greatest assets is that I am excellent at managing my time, I am highly motivated to utilise my time and understand this is key to graphic design in order to meet deadlines and produce comprehensive and high quality of work. I have a great desire in thinking creatively and developing original concepts. I have previously had work experience within a hair salon this encouraged me to develop my communication and team orientated skills as this was a crucial part of providing for the client. Similarly this may be useful to me working with clientele in the creative industry. At both GCSE and A level I was the first student to achieve full marks in my Graphics coursework at the given institution, I am incredibly proud of this achievement as I am constantly striving to improve upon the standards set by myself and others. In the future I would like to be a fully qualified graphic designer. After I have gained a significant amount of experience I would then like to progress to be a creative director this not only develops on the role of a designer but allows be to play a bigger part in the inspiring, dynamic and constantly evolving world of design. I feel this course will warrant me with the skills and knowledge I need to pursue my future.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
Golf is a sport of confidence, honesty, and patience. It has taught me to practice these traits in my everyday life. I have more confidence in myself and I know that I will succeed. I am honest even when the truth hurts. I am patient with those around me no matter how annoyed I may be. My name is Evin Edens, and golf is my passion.
I grew up in a household where education was seen as a form of self-improvement and empowerment. Being raised in rural Central California by two Filipino immigrants who had nothing more than a high school education, my family did not have an educated or intellectual history I could look up to. That is, until my mother decided to get a college education at the age of 45. I must have been in middle school at the time, before which the word “college” was never really spoken or talked about and I could honestly say I only had a vague idea of what it even was. Rather than having the traditional sit down talk with my parents about higher education, my mom clearly spoke to me through example. I distinctly remember times where I would be her study buddy, and while doing so, I found myself leisurely enjoying the pages of her science textbooks. Instead of asking her questions related to her upcoming text, I inquisitively asked juvenile questions like, “How do the genes make us?” Today I know that this is a very big and complex question that we are still trying to answer. Yet at that moment, I wanted an answer, but mother did not have the solution, nor did the textbook. That was the birth of my pursuit of scientific career.
Soaked under sweat, I stood on the running machine, took a deep breath, and counted in my mind, one…two… three, GO! With renewed power and confidence, I started to run again with satisfaction. This moment happened every day in last summer at a gym and I lost 62pounds. Had persisted for five months, I am so proud of myself that I am able to achieve the goal of losing weight and established high self-discipline. In addition, I have gained great appreciation for the challenges. However, I also have grown up from this, on the other hand, frustrated experience. Not because the process of losing weight was painful, but because my by-product of the weight loss journey, my online team.
My best (and favorite) subject in school is Math. Ever since I was very little I have loved math, and worked very hard at it. When I do not fully understand topics I do extra problems to make sure that they become clear to me. I spend a lot of time working on math to make sure I understand the topics throughly. I have been in math clubs since 4th grade, and in 7th grade I represented my school at the MathCounts® competition where I won a two silver pins. I won the Virginia State Math Award in 7th grade, and this year I got an 800 in math on my SSAT. As a result of my hard work I am currently one of three students in my school to be in the highest math group, Precalculus.
It was a cold autumn night in North Carolina when I realized that my youth was being taken away from me. I wanted to run away and go back to the life that I had known; where I had the opportunity to go to school was happy and understood the language. Instead I was in a foreign land with my family and we could not return for there was no future in my homeland. According to my father, we had to keep migrating because it was the best thing for our family. It was then when I realized that this is not what I wanted for my family and I asked my father that we needed to go somewhere where I can go to school because it was affecting everybody including my little brother. My father raised me to believe I could accomplish anything I set my mind to it. So I decided to work hard and enroll in school so I can become educated. It was a difficult journey because I wasn’t sure which route my life would take since migrating every couple of months was not uncommon.
My present interest in art is more graphic/typography based, although I do enjoy all areas of art. I have been designing graphics on my computers from a young age and have work published in national magazines. Not all the graphical work I do is computer based, I enjoy using traditional mediums in a clean graphical way, as I find it more satisfying working on a larger scale and producing something more "real". My current course has helped me "branch out" more; I have experimented in many disciplines successfully producing paintings, pastels and drawings, which I had never really developed fully before.
Since the beginning of my academic endeavors, I have long cherished a dream to be a member of the social science research community, which gives our society progressive insights into human ecology. I began my undergraduate studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey with a passion for ecological justice and with the intention of majoring in environmental studies. Ramapo College’s progressive liberal arts foundation provided me with ample room to explore the multifarious array of social science courses. As I took more social science courses, however, my understanding of human social groups underwent a metamorphosis. As a result, I decided to pursue a degree in Social Science, with minors in the two fields I felt most passionately interested in, Women’s Studies and African American Studies.
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field is where a student would start. Though, if a student goes into another field, it would be beneficial for him or her to pursue technology training to meet hiring qualifications. The National Association of schools of Art and Design have 320 accredited post secondary colleges, universities, and independent institutes with programs in art in design. Most of these schools include studio art, principles of design, computerized design, commercial graphics production, printing techniques and website design. A student should also consider taking classes in writing, marketing, and business to get an edge in this occupation. Many designers can also gain their experience first-hand by doing an internship. Portfolios are a necessity as a designer, because it shows the client the talent and experience that the designer has. A designer should keep up with the latest software to stay in the competition and not lose the competitive edge with other designers. There are prominent qualities that an employer should look for when considering hiring a designer; these qualities include analytical, artistic, communication, computer, creativity, and time management
Some said it maybe cliché to have your childhood experiences as your points to derive you to plan your future. Well for me it is never an ending possibilities to have a childhood experienced that will determine you to get what you really want. From an early age I have always been deeply interested in gaming. I was the only girl in the family that really into games and computer systems. I can always remember the feeling of wanting to know just how the games were developed and design, how the console and system works and what else they could do.
Designing in any way is a career that I could say becomes natural to me because it all involves some experience in art and art is the basic beginning of it all.
I really love to draw and imagining my own little world. Watching many animations has influenced me a lot. I learnt how people made those animals speak, how those lifeless dolls become alive, and how another dimensions of mythical creatures can be created. Since then, I know that I wanted to do this for my whole life. It has inspired me to do something that I love as a career. Imagine that you are supporting your financial needs by doing something that you love. It has been my dream since a little kid to put my imagination to life.
My passion for both software and hardware behind it stems from having been fortunate enough to be introduced to it at a young age. What may have originally been a simple fondness for video games developed into a curiosity regarding the nuts and bolts of the computer and a dedication to improve them. Subsequently, I plan to pursue software engineering in the future.
During my whole life and experience I have been interested in the Art, Creativity, and I have been traveling around Graphics Designing. When I go out to centres, supermarkets, the high streets around Kingston anywhere in London, Germany and other parts of Europe which I have seen. I have seen lots of Graphics designs in advertising, Billboards companies for example in electronical products or any type of product the graphics advertising companies running around the world, just because of that I was inspired in the graphics designing and I was influence by the subject.
