Don’t you love grocery shopping? Personally, I am highly obsessed about it, visually addicted towards the packaging of the product especially during festive season where there is limitless creativity of the packaging. It’s a passion until now I am still discovering new things, getting excited and inspired by the most ordinary of things, whether or not it be the design of a clothes tag, a window display, exhibition ticket or even the shapes and lines of a sneaker. It is my way of life to experiment and grow as a designer, with each experience I have giving me a better understanding of visual communication and the design process. I think I am perfectly suited to this field as I possess deep interest and enthusiasm for graphic design. I have …show more content…
It was great being able to bounce ideas off friends and teachers to achieve a polished final design. My time there allowed me to be ready for a degree level course at university. My future, as I see it, will have art as an anchor, to become a qualified graphic designer. As they say make passion your profession. The design industry is full of exciting and challenging tasks therefore I want to enrol on a course that will empower me with the creative skills and knowledge that will enable me to join and contribute to the dynamic and constantly evolving world of design. As for leisure, I enjoy reading magazines. Art and design magazine, fashion magazine, cooking magazine. I love to be exposed to the current trend and cherish the beautiful cover and layout design of the magazine. I do prefer to read technology magazines as I like to keep up to date with latest technology as what this generation of young adults like. Film is another major influence for me. Film gives everyone the ability to become imaginative which is a valuable skill in life, it can also be very influential to a lot of people and can change people’s
Additionally not only knowing the historical, social, and political background of a film and how the ideas in this film were form, but also how this film affected the society and the point of view of individuals, because after all film is not only affected by the context in which it is created ,but the film also affects individuals are catalyst for change in societies and cultures.
To put it simply, there is nothing more I would rather do than influence how people see good and the bad in our world, and to me there is only one medium for that, film.
It is a common mis-conception that films are merely entertainment, and serve no other purpose than to provide for the viewer a two-hour escape from reality. This is a serious under-estimation of the power, purpose, and potential of film, because film, upon reflection, revea...

Art can be traced to the pre-historic era; it has evolved from pre-historic art to contemporary art. Over the centuries art has changed and taken various forms, under this huge spectrum comes Film. which is rather a new form of art. It has become a means of creative expression as well as performing the purposes of mass media such as providing the audiences with information, transmission of culture and amusement.
Paola Antonelli, design curator at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), in her talk in 2007 claimed that there is a possibility to approach to the idea of the design as an instruction or a direction rather than a prescription of form. During resent decade, many designers have tried to separate art and design and introduce the design as an independent tendency. They believe that the essence of art and design are different. Professor Jae-Jin Shim explained that “Art is something driven by instinct, but design has to be based on a rational and commercial purpose” and John Maeda in 2012 argued that there’s a difference between art and design, and it matters. “Designers create solutions – the products and services that propel us forward. But artists create questions — the deep probing of purpose and meaning that sometimes takes us backward and sideways to reveal which way “forward” actually is.”
From an early age I have always had a strong interest in art, and have been involved with it in some form all through my life. In year nine I realized that it was something that I might like to pursue as a career, I started taking it more seriously. The Chase's art department encouraged me very well and helped me develop my art skills.
Many people don’t think about it so much, but movies (or just film in general) have become such a big part of our lives that we don’t think much of it because it just feels like a usual part of living. But have you ever wondered why this is, and how far back film started? Movies and film have been around for a long time, have developed in big ways throughout time, and has advanced in such a big and new way to this day.
Across the globe watching movies started as an asylum for the working class, but slowly the ideas being portrayed onscreen have evolved resulting in movie going to become almost religious. Movies have the ability to leave us in awe as a result of their ability to give us a glimpse of a dream, however unrealistic. I myself am a huge fan of the film industry. I started to feel a certain reverence for it because of the way it inspired me to dream and gave birth to my ambitions. This ultimately led to me to go into an in depth investigation of whether I was the only one who felt this way and what affects had been created because of this feeling.
My enthusiasm for the subject has been consistent throughout my school career; Making short films and other coursework pieces in Secondary School and Sixth Form has allowed me to fully express my interest and improve my understanding of film. The possibility of using film as a universal form of communication and to achieve far more than just audience entertainment fascinates me. The main reason I find film so interesting is that it is the one medium of communication that has the power to inspire, unite or divide any age or generation. It also aims to entertain, evoke emotional responses and educate
Movies take us inside the skin of people quite different from ourselves and to places different from our routine surroundings. As humans, we always seek enlargement of our being and wanted to be more than ourselves. Each one of us, by nature, sees the world with a perspective and selectivity different from others. But, we want to see the world through other’s eyes; imagine with other’s imaginations; feel with other’s hearts, at a same time as with our own. Movies offer us a window onto the wider world, broadening our perspective and opening our eyes to new wonders.
The best ones allow us to look at ourselves in a way that we didn’t know was possible. Another factor I love about films is the storytelling, which is the basic foundation of a movie. The thought of experiencing what the characters in a film think and feel are intriguing to me. Movies are the modern campfires where we gather around to tell and hear stories. If there is ever an apocalypse, years later survivors will gather around fires and tell stories like, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far far
During my whole life and experience I have been interested in the Art, Creativity, and I have been traveling around Graphics Designing. When I go out to centres, supermarkets, the high streets around Kingston anywhere in London, Germany and other parts of Europe which I have seen. I have seen lots of Graphics designs in advertising, Billboards companies for example in electronical products or any type of product the graphics advertising companies running around the world, just because of that I was inspired in the graphics designing and I was influence by the subject.
It can come to define who’s being influenced. Movies are a huge source of influence, because they’re also a form of entertainment. Movies can influence us because they influence storytelling, entertainment, and culture.
