Can graffiti be considered art? Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Graffiti may not be inspiring but it is great to look at. Like all other artistic forms, graffiti has experimented movements and styles. Graffiti is a way of life and gives the city its own urban originality and flare. Graffiti is found everywhere whether in Chicago, Miami, or Jackson, somebody took time out of their day be creative. Vandalism is an expression that's what makes it art. Graffiti straddle the line between pure art or pure vandalism. Graffiti may be a challenge to the law and sometime serve as social commentary about the subjectivity of laws. Some refer to graffiti as a violence attractor. Although many consider the spray painted pieces a nuisance, graffiti has been gaining recognition from the art world more and more as a legitimate form of art. Many say the gun inside the drawing will encourage killing and violence. Graffiti is a public good through its expressed social commentary and artistry. This street art beautifies cities by giving them character and making them look unique and personal.

Graffiti is a form of expression, and artist should be free to make their thoughts and beliefs public. Art forms have always intrigued us as it is a way of self-expression and creativity. In a way to avoid violence, graffiti allows many people express your feelings. Graffiti create work that reflect on struggle, accomplishment, politics, and social messages. Street art can turn a brick wall into something so colorful and beautiful you would pay to see it. The world is a canvas for graffiti artist and they should feel free to cover it as they please. One day, humankind will all be gone. As graffiti is increasingly becoming a part of the modern popular culture, youth are seen illicitly scribbling, sketching and scathing public property, buildings, bathrooms, railways compartments, subways, bridges etc. Human should preserve what we have done so our great grandchildren have something beautiful to remember us by. Graffiti is a form of art and not just random acts of violence. Street art is more beautifying and reviving a city, rather than destroying it.
