Do you want to enjoy your final year of elementary school, because this is our last year before we enter the phase of high school. Grade 8 is finally here, I have been waiting for this for such a long time. This is going to be the year I will enjoy the absolute most. I am going to tell you how field trips, being the oldest at the school, and graduation, are an advantage of being a grade 8 student. When we are in grade 8, we go on many field trips, including an overnight trip to Ottawa and also to a Toronto Raptors game. The difference between this game and last years game was that first that it is a different sport and this year the teams are professionals, and the Marlies were in the AHL. Personally, I love field trips, and going to Ottawa will allow me to explore a city I have never been to been to in my life before. I love to travel, and since I …show more content…
have already been to Montreal, I was hoping that we would get to go to Ottawa, and we are. So, I super excited about going to Ottawa and to have a three day overnight trip, which I have never done before. When we go on a field trip, I can develop a passion for something I may not have liked ever before. For example, when we went to Snow Valley for skiing, I started to enjoy skiing much more than before. Or when we went to Cirque Du Soleil, before I hated circus', but I was really impressed by their performance, and now I really like them now. Also, and last but not least, I can make new friends. For example, if we're going on a trip and see that somebody I don't really talk to, shares the same talent that I have, then we could become friends. So, this is how going on trips can be a big advantage to being in grade 8. After 10 years of waiting, we are finally at the top, the oldest at school now.
There are many and countless benefits to being at the top, here are some of them. Since we're the oldest a Blessed Trinity now, there's nobody around to annoy and ruin our soccer, basketball game, or whatever. This is our last year here at BT. After 10 long years, it almost became like our second home. Now, because we are the oldest, we get to do many different things than before such as, much more field trips, doing the passion play, graduation, and confirmation. Being here means that we are literally one step away from entering high school, which I am both excited and nervous about. This year will allow me to make new friends, and I once heard that the friends you make now, will stick by your side forever, nevertheless, I still have to choose the right and good friends who will not peer pressure you into doing anything you do not want to do. We get much more freedom and a lot more responsibility now, but we should not take advantage and abuse it. In conclusion, this is how being at the top can be a huge
advantage. Finally, I honestly cannot even wait for graduation. First of all after graduation, we should get ready to move on to the next phase of our lives which is high school and get ready to be the youngest and at the bottom once again. For graduation, we get to have a big party, and believe me, I love parties. Graduation also means that it is the end of the year and the beginning of summer vacation. It means that we are growing up and starting to get much more mature. Plus this is going to be our real graduation, and most people probably do not even remember their S.K. graduation. Plus, maybe for once I could actually get a good picture, because in every single one of them, I look really bad. So, what is it? The awesome trips? Being the oldest? Graduation? All of them are important and the most exciting advantages to being in grade 8. So, in my opinion, I am sure that this is going to be the best year ever. Do you like being a grade 8 student?
Picture a stunning sandy beach, waves lapping on the shoreline and the sun setting on the horizon creating a breathtaking atmosphere. The never-ending golden sand stretching as far as the eye can see. This is Australia.
Dear Future 8th grader, I know how you feel you are excited to start the year off with a boom and that's a good thing later on the year your going to get less and less excited about 8th grade but just remember what started the spark at the beginning of the year and what causes that boom to happen. As you progress along this year you should just become more excited and never get bored of class or your work because think of all the fun and cool things your going to achieve just by doing your work.
It’s fall everyone and Halloween is coming.I would like to tell you that fall is the best season of all.
While we might think we are concluding the school year, we are really- much more importantly- setting students, and ourselves, up for what comes next.” -Larry Ferlazzo, In the education week. This eighth grade year will be packed with fun and difficult activities, one of them being a role model for my buddy. I also must be sure I have good time management with my homework, and of course, I must make make the big decision of where I will attend high school. This eighth grade year will set my future and prepare me for
To me, travelling and going on road trips are my favourites things to do during summer with my friends. It’s a time to unwind, and the best time to go is right when school is over, so you can forget all those exams you wrote and just relax. Canada is known for it’s naturistic locations, and in fact as stated in lecture; many Canadians think of physical landscapes as central to their identity as Canadians” (Mackintosh, 2017, Week 5, Slide 1). I think this is because Canada is known to have some of the most beautiful places on Earth, and yes other people can argue the opposite, that there are much nicer places out there, but I have travelled quite a lot, and a few places are; Argentina, Sweden, Australia and even France, and I can honestly say that Canada still has some of the most beautiful places. The reason I think this is because of social geography which is defined as, the study of social processes as they are constituted in and by the spaces and places in which they occur (Mackintosh, 2017, Week 7, Slide 4). For me, the locations also have to do with the people who live there and the places that my friends and I travelled to, the people in each city recognized that we were tourist, and they were so friendly about that. They took us on tours to see the latest attractions, they helped us out with the language, (some places spoke French) and some even took their time to explain in general about their daily lifestyles, their beliefs in religion (social factors) and only because we were interested in knowing and the fact that they didn’t mind at all. This just made the experience much better, knowing that wherever you go in Canada, there are those people who are willing to help this much (this is in my view, from my experience, and in the other countries people were not as nice to help out, not even
Wow, three years have passed and the last day is just as long as the first. Three years of hard discipline and learning to get used to homework every night. Three years of standing on the front steps waiting for my parents and saying goodbye to my teachers. I never thought the goodbye might be permanent. 6th grade came and I was looking up at those giant 8th graders, and now I guess I’m one of them. 6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down.
Well, a place where to live is essential for everybody. Today I am going to show you a less expensive, practical and ecofriendly solution for this basic but indispensable necessity.
The oldest students in the whole school, the kings and queens, the leaders, the students with the well developed, massive houses. This day will be in our minds until we take our last breaths, so let us make the best of it. It’s crazy, you know? That during this exact moment last year, I could have been delivering my sixth grade promotion speech. All of my fellow seventh graders would have been. Younger versions of ourselves doing almost the exact same action. It is insane that the exact same thoughts will be swimming throughout our eighth-grade heads. Same thoughts for years to come. This is why this day is important. All of these thoughts, feelings, and moods that come to mind when the eighth grade is mentioned might be a tad bit frightening, but it only means we are a stride or two closer to becoming
There is so much to be discovered in our vast world of technology. Scientists and researchers work hard everyday to educate themselves and others on the advances capable of being achieved. There are people learning about new technology, different scientific and medical methods, and most of all medicine everyday. However, there is always a price to pay with hypotheses running their course through experiments, and that is the testing subject. Scientists feel the best choice for such research is to use animals to be tested, and that great achievements in the science world are worth it. Just as these scientists are, testing on innocent animals is completely wrong. Just because they are available for testing, and don’t have any ability to opt out in these experiments, does not mean they are right for the job.
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him” (G.K. Chesterton). A soldier is a soldier no matter what. If they fight behind a screen, on the front line, or from a controller as long as they’re protecting this country, the people in it, and the people fighting for it they are honorable. Some think that because one does their fighting from a remote control drone means that they have no understanding of war, and in some ways that is true, but they are still taking someone’s life when they choose to press that button just like the solders on the front line takes someone’s life when they pull the trigger. Both people are fighting the same fight: they love the country they are defending the people in it they just do it from different standpoints. Drones
Imagine being involved in so much pain and misery, pharmaceutical tests, vaccine tests, Military experiments and training and brain experiments. 125,000 primates are imprisoned in US laboratories every year. In order to take the Primates at a young age from their natural habits, trappers will shoot the mothers from the tree, shock the animals with dart guns and capture the babies who are still clinging onto their dying mother. Do animals not deserve to be cared for the same way people care for other people? In laboratories, primates go through series of experiments that lead up to their death. 90 percent of primates in laboratories develop psychological issues. After being taken from family, Primates are locked in a small steel cage and left to be alone. At most the primates are given cheap plastic toys, scratched mirrors and occasional fresh fruit such as an apple or banana. Primates will eventually begin to
Albert Einstein once said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that is it stupid.” Sir Ken Robinson stated that schools are destroying children 's creativity with their curriculum, there are many facts that support this idea. Students are required to think a specific way, prepare the way teachers want them to be prepared. Students also have their own opinion, because they are not afraid to be wrong, and need a way to move forward.
Australia is a country in which everyone is allowed to live together peacefully and practice their religions and celebrate their cultures. All in all, Australia is a country that accepts everyone’s differences and welcomes them with open arms. However, not all Australians understand their peers. The LGBT+ community has been fighting for their rights for years and they’ve been fighting to be seen as a normal person for an even longer time. Whilst they discrimination is nowhere near as bad as what it was 10 to 20 years ago, we as Australian’s are still so far from letting those of different sexuality a part of our community. There are people who misunderstand homosexuals, transgender and bisexuals amongst other sexualities. Bisexuals are being called greedy by their coworkers. Transgender men and women are being referred ‘it’ instead of a person. Homosexuals
I also studied eight grade in that middle school. At the end of the year 2015, I make a lot of friends and some very close friends. I become the teacher’s pet. I have very good grades and I was in perfect in school. In 8th grade senior awards and other awards ceremony, I received one gold medal, four Principal’s honorable roll, one student month, and one certificate of award in Arista honor society. In graduation night, I took picture with all my teachers and my favorite teacher Mr. Sinacori and my friends, and I meet new student from different class and that night was fun night, we cry, we laugh.
