Students must self evaluate/reflect at the end of each clinical course by answering the statements/questions below. This paper is evaluated based on how completely each section is answered as well as grammar/spelling/punctuation. 1. Describe the things (at least 3) you felt good about in the clinical experiences this term. This clinical experience has been great. I go to clinical everyday with an open mind. I have learned a wealth of information from my preceptor at Grace Family Medical Practice. I continue to manage acute and chronic diseases with minimal to moderate preceptor coaching. I am appreciating the little exposure that I have to pediatric care at Grace Family Medical Practice. 2. Describe at least two things you felt did not go well during this term’s clinical experience. I was hoping to begin my pediatric clinical rotation, unfortunately it did not work out. I was also anticipating more pediatric cases at Grace Family Medical Practice because I thought that summertime camps would lead to more children going to their doctors for sport physical. Guidelines are based on randomized trials and have limitations. Sometimes a clinician must use good clinical judgement to make decision. I understand why a clinician might elect to begin statin therapy for elevated LDL and triglycerides while another clinician might consider lifestyle modification for at least three months before considering a statin. However, I remain perplexed about certain procedures and tests. I don’t agree that a 19 y/o female should have pap smear whether she is sexually active or not. I have learned that every provider practice differently and that I have to follow the guidelines for the national certification
