Going to college is important for many reasons. In articles from Mews ELA and ProCon.com, they state although college is not always convenient in life, college has many benefits that one can benefit from all their life. College education is important because one is able to meet with a diverse group of people and earn more throughout a lifetime. Going to college allows people to develop cooperative skills and relationships among a diverse group of people. There are many ideas of why college is good and bad as said in "it is one's college years that one develops a sense of self, a world view, an appreciation for the dignity of people, and an enthusiasm for the arts" (ProCon.com). When one develops good relationships, they will have developed and important life skill. One will also become open to the real world and be able to learn to cooperate with all kinds of people, old or young. As you study and earn more degrees, you get more money over the course of a lifetime like said in " … those who held a Bachelor's degree were expected to earn a 40 – year lifetime salary of 1.4 million dollars...holders of professional degrees could expect a lifetime earnings in excess of 4million dollars" (Study.com). Going to college results in a higher pay than those who don't. When one goes to college, they can be thought to earn more money than if they don't go to college. As Barack Obama said "...a college degree is the surest ticket to the middle class... the key to getting a good job" (ProCon.com, Barack Obama). One can achieve a lot by going to college.
