Globalization has not only greatly improved, but it has had a positive impact on the United States economy. Globalization has spread American influence all around the world. More markets have been opened up causing more trade and businesses to boost the economy. Globalization gives many companies the opportunity to sell much more than they would have in just one country. This is why when we go to stores we often see product labels with marks or stamps from the country they came from. Not only does this benefit us in the long run, but it also gives us a variety of products, goods, and services to choose from. We have also bettered communications with foreign countries as well through the process of trade and business. This has allowed for greater emphasis on international …show more content…
Cheaper prices allow for the standard of living to increase. Globalization has given the united states great dominance and power for our economy. It has been shown to be a great advantage in the united states financial market compared to other economies, which have to buy, sell, and transact business with the U.S dollar. The U.S dollar as the world’s currency has led to substantial negotiation and trade power for U.S corporations, which then cause more and more corporations. Trade negotiations and other relationships were created based on the U.S dollar through collaborations by force and/or threat. This led to more buying power and value for the American dollar and made the value of other countries’ currencies decrease. This then resulted in poverty for many countries besides the united states of America. Globalization has also led to different cultures and races be introduced to America. Our country has a variety of many businesses that have been created from other cultures other than America. For example, we have restaurants that serve Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and even food from France. Globalization has spread many diversities all around the world and is constantly spreading every
Our global world is being more connected as we become integrated politically, socially and even economically. Due to the Bretton woods agreement, different countries have been economically dependent on each other in fear for war to erupt. From then on different organizations and policies tied more countries into being economic globalized. This economic globalization had then given us many opportunities in trades and more access to natural resources in other countries. Unfortunately, there are some negative effects that are brought to less developed country. Overall, many people believe that economic globalization does a great work on accumulating our economy and our quality of life.
Globalization is the process of people of different cultures or countries integrating through interacting through trade or the use of social media. In “Point: Globalization Provides a Better Life for All” By Jennifer Graham, she provides a valid point of view of how globalization has benefited society. “Globalization enriches the human experience through increased cultural and economic integration, which promotes diversity by opening society to new technology, communication and ideas...Moreover, globalization helps to break down discrimination against people on the basis of religious beliefs or race” (Para, 11,13). Globalization has an impact on my lifestyle because I am currently surrounded by technology and different cultural food. With globalization I have access to different foods that I would normally never get to try, also technology has allowed me to gain knowledge about different culture I would normally not know. This results in me being more informed and benefited about the world as a whole because of globalization bringing the different culture of the world so much closer

The first section, called Globalization of the Economy, summarizes the United States economy from 1950s to 2000. It provides a short list of advantages and disadvantages that globalization had on the American consumers, workers,
We say that we are heading toward a more global economy because of the fact that competition in today’s markets is global. This means that corporations in the United States can compete in foreign markets and vice versa, therefore U.S. corporations and foreign corporations become interdependent and thrive off each other. This can have a good impact on the United States because it allows U.S. corporations to seek materials and labor outside of the U.S. in countries such as China, India, and Mexico, where workers are paid a lot less money than U.S. workers, thus allowing them to sell their products for significantly cheaper than if they were produced in the U.S.; however, the tradeoff is that many American workers in the industrial sector lose jobs due to this shift of labor to overseas. In the long run this will be beneficial for the U.S. and although some percentage of workers are losing work, new jobs in the services sector, in fields such as computer technology, telecommunications, and language skills are opening up and experiencing growth because of this change.
With globalization, the consumers had a chance of not only buying quality products from different parts of the world, but they were also able to choose the products that they perceived as the highest quality. With the implementation of globalization, the customers were not only expecting more from the products that they were consuming from their countries, but also required the local products to match up with the quality of international products. Globalization has enabled customers to accept the high quality of the products they consume and realize the value of their money at all
Globalization is huge part of the success of some the biggest firms today, from Apple, General Electric, to Google. It allows a business to develop international. It allows reduced costs by maximizing production known product lines, allowing to expand into different markets gives a more competitive edge and expanding to new technology helps to increase to a bigger company, having more political edge within trade agreements.
Now, before I bash globalization it is some positive I would like to discuss. Globalization is great for the American economy; we can supply the world with our goods and services, which in turn can possible, relieve the deficit we’re in. “Homegrown industries see trade barriers fall and have access to a much wider international market. The growth this generates allows companies to develop new technologies and produce new products and services.” (Buzzle) Also, globalization leads to better relations between countries when they create trade agreements. Globalization does not drain every under-developed company but brings a new era of economic change and the hope of being a world super power to certain nations. “Economic globalization gives governments of developing nation’s access to foreign lending. These funds are used on infrastructure including roads, health car...
With the globalization of a product, a company might benefit in many ways. First, by sifting its production or services overseas, the company can reduce its overall production costs due to availability of low-cost labor. Second, working collectively with other companies overseas allows companies to access technical knowledge or resources that are either unavailable or are too expensive at home.
...r to globalization, services and products did not have such a wide range of customers, and this causes a decrease in their value, but a larger customer base will increase the profitability of a business. Globalization has made business must more profitable and complex.(4)

I have mixed opinions about globalization as a whole. I think for the economies of most countries it can be beneficial as it will help develop non-developed countries. Globalization has the potential to make the world a better place to live and solve some very long standing problems like unemployment and poverty, which will have a positive impact in the future. Other than having one world government, which I think would have a negative impact in the future, I think globalization will have a positive impact in the future, if it will increase wealth, decrease poverty and allows cultures to blend without each country losing their own cultures.
Globalization is the increasing interconnectedness of people, places, and cultures throughout the world today. The effects of this homogenizing process that we call globalization can be seen in all aspects of life. From McDonalds being in almost every country, to the majority of North American clothes being made in periphery countries, to the technological ability that allows us to instantly communicate with people anywhere in the world, the effects are everywhere. Economically today, globalization has had both positive and negative effects around the world, with many similarities to colonization. Globalization has also led to increased poverty amongst the global periphery, and a specific group of winners and losers within this process of globalization.
Globalization is a global process that is changing the world. I would also like to discuss what are the benefits and drawbacks of globalization in the world from different perspectives.
