We should put all of our effort into making sure the “Giant Pandas” across the world does not go extinct. Why? It’s because we are able to do so and without them it affects us in many ways we don’t even realize. Pandas help forests by spreading seeds, helping the vegetation to grow, and without forests we won’t have trees, and without trees our oxygen decreases and more, which leads to the extinction of humans. It turns out to be a whole food chain that ends up with nothing on it. Also to add that it will affect other species living in these forests. That may sound dramatic but over time that is very much possible. Pandas are culturally valuable too, so it would be so tragic if they were to never exist again.
We can do the most simplest things
that will prevent the giant pandas from going extinct. By lowering the use of paper products, we are saving the bamboo trees which is their home and food. Without bamboo trees they wouldn’t have their natural habitat and food which leads to starvation and helplessness. Then the end of their lives...Global warming is a big impact on the Earth, humans and other species. Climate change puts danger to many species by destroying their habitats and food sources. By simply not polluting we can stop global warming and it will benefit us all! Donating to conservation projects is also a way to help bring awareness and to prevent the extinction of pandas, even if its a penny, it’ll make a difference one day!
The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is a beloved creature known to the world. However, it is also a creature that is critically endangered and faces extinction. As human advancements obliterate the habitats and influence the lifestyle of the Giant Panda, research is conducted to uncover the cause of the Giant Panda’s current predicament and to improve the methods of conservation to save the Giant Panda. Information gained by researching the Giant Panda and its behaviors would help scientists and conservationists discover just what is hurting the Giant Panda, and what people can do to stop the Giant Panda’s population from decreasing.
The grizzly bear trophy hunt is an issue regarding the citizens of Canada who immorally hunt and kill grizzly bears for pride, thrill, and trophy. Many people question whether this is morally acceptable as hunters kill without a conscience. Grizzly bears are vital to Canada’s environment as they are essential to maintaining a healthy ecosystem. As keystone species, they regulate prey, disperse seeds of plants, and aerate soil to maintaining forest health. Due to the vulnerability and over-hunting of grizzly bears, Pacific Wild and many other non-profit organizations, are working to protect wildlife in British Columbia, especially the grizzly bear habitat.
The background of this article gives information that is necessary to understand the experiment. The shape of the pelvic girdle is an appropriate predictor of both phylogeny and movement in terrestrial vertebrates. However, in marine vertebrates, the gravitational forces typically applied to terrestrial pelvic girdles are not there and therefore have little impact on the shape of the girdle. Pelvic girdles of fish are generally not attached to the vertebrae and primarily are used as a place for muscles to attach and supporting of the fins. The authors discuss how in many cases the pelvic girdle could be removed and not result in any complications. However, there are some marine vertebrates that are capable of bottom walking on the ocean floor with their fins. In batoids, the pelvic fins are used for walking, which is when pelvic fins move in an alternating fashion, or punting, when both pelvic fins move at the same time. There is also augmented punting; this is when the vertebrate uses both the pectoral fins and the pelvic fins to generate more thrust, this action decreases the forces on the pelvic fins during a punt. While this locomotion would
The Giant Panda is a creature of mystery. Adults and children alike appreciate it for its cute, fuzzy, lovable qualities, but it is an animal that is in desperate need of immediate attention. Scientists know the basics: how and what they eat, where and how they live, and how they reproduce. The fact remains, however, that this universally loved national symbol of China is facing the threat of extinction. What accounts for this fact and what can be or is being done to protect the panda from such a fate? This paper will discuss the characteristics and lifestyle of the panda as well as issues and questions that arise as a result of the threat of their extinction.
Many species are part of the endangered animals, and steppe eagle is no different. Any endangered animals suffers HIPPO (Habitat Destruction, Invasive Species, Population, Pollution, and Overharvesting.), and like other flying species suffers electrocution. This eagle can’t be found in United States, but they are located outside of Europe to Central Asia. There are about 800-1200 pairs of steppe eagle. I choose steppe eagle because I believe steppe eagles should not be harmed by power lines and their destruction of their habitat. Unfortunately there hasn’t been a favorable or a specific solution for this eagle. I will propose to you one of my suggestions to help steppe eagles free from being endangered.
Humans are hunting them illegally and they are taking their food sources for their own purposes. Humans have more to do with their extinction then most know, like when we travel to exotic places. When doing this we are most likely disturbing an animal’s home. Being in a controlled environment is much different from being in a cage, they are filled with others of their species and most of the times are left alone. This will help them reproduce and we can keep close eye on them to keep them from danger. Other ways to help, donate to wildlife charity WWF, you can also adopt a panda. There is very little that can be done to save these endangered animals. Also because of panda tourism is rising to an incontrollable level, professionals advise that tourists travel smart and be careful not to invade the wild panda bears.
Hunting Black Bears and Grizzlies could be affecting their population that is already low, but hunting with bait, dogs, different kind of guns and tactics, is negatively affecting how many are killed during a hunting season. The numbers are low there is a chance the bears are outnumbered by hunters and there tactics. The number of hunters privileged with a bear tag should be limited this could negatively or positively affect the populations.
For thousands of years scientist have been performing vivisections on animals to find information on new chemicals, drugs, and vaccines. Vivisection is when scientist perform dissections among living animals mostly for the purpose of educating and retrieving information. Experimenting on animals has become the tool that has helped us comprehend the body functions of an animal and how a disease transforms the bodily functions, but over the years it’s caused animal rights activists to question the usefulness and the sincerity of using animals for this purpose. Although animal research has been helpful in the past, it is morally wrong in the sense that experimenting on animals is not the only way to collect information. There are other alternatives
Do you know that if you buy a pet from a pet store, there will be some animals die in the shelters? Do you also know that every year there are thousands of sheltered animals are euthanized—mercy killing— because there is no space for them? Many people buy pets rather than adopt from shelters because they think they are healthy, purebred and well-behaved. But actually the sheltered animals may be healthier, happier and much cheaper. In the recent years, more and more people decide to adopt animals since there are numerous advantages such as changing a homeless animal’s whole life, reducing illegal trade and puppy farms and benefiting from long- term advice and support.
Almost every man woman, and child recognize the black and white markings of the panda bear. The panda, symbol of The World Wildlife Federation, is one of the species of animals that is most endangered from extinction. Panda Bear population has been dropping dramatically since 1961. Throughout china and other countries in south east asia panda’s are losing large areas of their habitat and food source.People are hurting the panda population by destroying their habitat for their own needs;.
Obviously, every time an animal dies, the impact could be tremendous. However if the red panda becomes extinct, we would be losing help in the terms of preventing global warming. According to Natasha Freya, she stated that red pandas are very important to the environment because they contribute to clean air and water for over 500 million people. This is because they help maintain a healthy and clean forest. Red Pandas live in bamboo and hollow trees with an average temperature of 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. The forests that the panda’s habitat is in ranges from Nepal to southwest China. If these forests are maintained (by the red panda) and function properly, then we can guarantee a healthy life for the people, animals, and plants of South Asia. Secondly, The Red Panda has a unique biology. The Red Panda is the only species of its kind in the world. Their behavior is unique and they are specialists in their environment. They also have no close living relatives, ultimately making them more unique than most animals! They also play a big role in the food chain. If Red Pandas were to become extinct, the animal’s predators wouldn't have enough of its prey to eat. Also their extinction would disrupt the whole food chain and more animals would die. These Pandas eat insects, bamboo, fruit, eggs, leaves, and plants so therefore, Red Pandas control the growth and population of these animals and species. Red Pandas play a very important role in the ecosystem and it would be a very unfortunate loss if they became extinct.
Any species which fall into the categories vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered are considered to be at risk of extinction. Robert Redford said “I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security defense of our resource’s because it’s just as important as defense abroad otherwise what is there to defend?” People should all take the environment more seriously and protect the future for those to come. It’s our responsibility to ensure that the children to come may enjoy all of earth’s beauty, and not through old issues of National Geographic’s.
I believe people need to prevent what is making them become extinct because the things that could happen could make the population go down. There are problems including habitat loss poaching and fragmentation. WWF explains how creating new reserves and linking up existing panda populations are key to the species' future. The Chinese government, in partnership with WWF, has also developed bamboo corridors to link pockets of forest, allowing the pandas within them to move to new areas find more food and meet more potential breeding mates. But providing the endangered species land isn’t enough. To prevent a species from being extinct, people need to be more aware of the situation. Another way is by Donating to the WWF and other reputable panda organizations will give these organizations a chance to do additional research, perform panda monitoring, change community development by buying wood saving stoves. The need for fuel currently causes locals to ravage the forest home of the pandas. The WWF and others also patrol panda reserve borders to ensure that no poachers, loggers or hunters make it
Taken from the only place you've ever known. Away from the only family you have. Kept in crates and cages to be sold. Removed from their home, exotic animals are put in yours for personal amusement. This act is ruinous an inhumane, it violates the basic rights of human and animals. Exotic animals have a rightful place in their natural habitats, not as pets, because they endanger the community, become sick, and their owners abandon them.
In today’s world we depend on so many types of animal entertainment. Without anywhere would all the animals go? People would not be able to go to the zoos or aquariums. By removing the presents of animals in our everyday lives we will not only be questioning the judgment of our fore father, but we also would be getting rid of many great opportunities including economics, education, and also for entertainment.
