It was finally time for my getaway. The Maldives were just a nineteen hour flight into my future. Bags packed, I boarded the plane with visions of paradise in my head. This was a much needed vacation and I was ready for an experience in another world. I was headed to Male, the destination where all travelers end up when entering or exiting the exotic islands of the Maldives. With only minutes left to land, I was fortunate enough to get a window view of the crystal turquoise seas, words couldn't describe its beauty. Upon arrival at the Hulhule airport, I was greeted by the cool breeze. The weather was just right. Male was a busier island, but this wasn't where I would be staying. The Rangali island resort, for me, was just another shorter flight …show more content…
It was a mixture of seafood and I loved the curried dishes they would prepare. I wanted to experience the underwater restaurant everybody was talking about. It was a small restaurant called Ithaa Undersea restaurant. When there, I was completely shocked. I didn't know how I was going to feel undersea while eating, but it was calming. The staff's service was five stars and the fact that I had made friends had made it even better. Further into my trip I decided to take a quick trip back to Male. Some new friends and I were heading over there to see what shops had to offer. The Antique and Style Mart was one of the first places we stopped at. The shop stood out to me because of the cultural items that were offered. I bough a few pieces to put on my wall when I had to go home. During the day we traveled in and out of souvenir shops. Then we visited the Agora shopping center in the middle of the island. Everything from foods to household goods was sold here. My trip was coming to an end. I would miss the beautiful paradise of the Maldives. I would keep in contact with my new friends, maybe next time we will visit the island together! Back at the Hulhule airport I did some last minute souvenir shopping. I wanted to keep as much memories as possible. My experience was amazing to say the least, all I know is I will definitely be going back to explore more
coral sanctuary reefs! The dining was always 'to die for' also, especially if you're a fish eater. Surrounded by access to some of the most inspiring
Upon arrival, it came to our attention that some of the letters of the light up sign above the store were burned out. The building itself looked extremely out dated and was poorly lit outside. Also, there were many homeless people surrounding the shopping center outside of the store. All of these aspects made the store seem a bit sketchy and unwelcoming.
In life everyone is going to have to go through struggles and trials, however in times of suffering, having a strong support system and faith can help get through anything. The book is Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. The book is about an Olympic athlete named Louie Zamperini, that joined the military. Louie is captured, and tortured by the Japanese after his military plane crashed. Louie and his fellow prisoners are then tasked with trying to survive the Japanese POW camps. What are the underlying themes of Unbroken? In Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand three themes that stand out in the story are faith, suffering, and friendship.
The meat has a great fresh taste and beats out their fast food competition. The waiters were so friendly and knowledgeable. They were also patient and very respectful when taking down orders. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the happy hour is one of the best worldwide. The food was also wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. I especially enjoyed the milkshakes, I would consider those irresistible. The best thing about the restaurants’ service, is the great value for such a low price. I highly recommend this restaurant, because you will have such a great time while enjoying your delicious meal at such a reasonable price. This is a family oriented restaurant. They actually give the kids some type of electronic device to operate on while they are waiting for their
Each floor I stopped at had a variety of stores. From eery-looking stores selling Halloween and magic merchandise to a magazine shop selling vintage Playboys and Time magazines from the 40s, to a saloon that invited customers, every corner filled up with something worth staring at or dropping my jaw on. Tibetan artefacts, leather bags, indie artist studios, thrift shops, liquor stores, stationary, carpentry shops, jewellery stores, clothing like t-shirts, hats, ties, and belts, pet care, human care, hair styles, Seattle mementoes, and thousands of other little and large shops lit up as customers
Our enemy was the Japanese, but when the war ended, it also had another story to it, and it was Louie, a survivor of the American army, and a survivor from a prisoner of war camp. Louie’s life was that he was an athlete in his childhood, and the one who made Louie into an athlete was Pete, his big brother in the family, which his brother was the one that encouraged Louie the most. When Louie was older, he joined the army, and when he joined, he was still running and practiced like an athlete. When Louie was growing up, he kept on changing his personalities, and was growing new traits as he learned from others, and had joy with loved ones too. In the book Unbroken, the author Laura Hillenbrand described Louie as
When I stepped out of the hot, airless plane into the bright, dazzling sunlight beaming down across the burning concreate, I felt excited and nervous. Holding my beach bag in my hand and slipping my Ray Ban sunglasses on with my other, I flip-flopped down the airspace. Overhead I heard the screams of gulls and the chatter of the small fluffy birds. I suddenly realized I had arrived to Hawaii. This trip was such an unforgettable vacation for me because I got to witness the beauty of nature that Hawaii has to offer.
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
Hawaii, a place where tourists sip on their Mai Tai and enjoy strolls on soft sandy beaches overlooking the crystal blue ocean that reflects the sun-oh-so-nicely. A place to send the kids off to Hula lessons while the parents can finally get that outdoor massage they deserve. How could someplace resemble paradise so closely? No wonder it’s a signature vacation spot for families all over the world. One might ask how one of the world’s most
There are things that you will see here that you just won’t find anywhere else. Nothing else matches the spirit and love the native Hawaiians and local residents have for the people that come to visit.
Being laid off is not the same as being fired because it is not considered to be fault of the employee. It is actually the fault of the employer. A lay off is often called as “reduction in force”. Whether it is being laid off or being fired, to be without a job may be one of the hardest times of your life. Losing your job is something that is unexpected and shocking.
I since then have tried it again; in fact we have sushi regularly now. This experience made me less skeptical toward other cultures’ cuisines. I wasted many years being picky towards something new that ended up being one of my favorite meals. Also not only am I less skeptical towards the different cuisines, I now find myself appreciating different cultures in a way that made me want to try new things as much as possible. It would be so intriguing to me to visit many different countries and try things from a new
June 23, 2016 my plane touched down in the tropical oasis of Cancun, Mexico. We are here to spend a week in paradise celebrating multiple mile stones in my family. The moment our plane landed I could not wait to spend some time in this amazing destination. The ride to our resort was breath taking and seeing the authentic shops lined up and down the streets put a smile on my face. However, there was something stuck in the back of my mind.
The trip to Asia was a chance of a lifetime. It could not have been any more perfect. We worked hard and learned a lot. The memories and friends made are unforgettable. I only hope that I helped make someone else's trip just as wonderful.
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
