In the Australian culture, there are certain etiquettes that are encouraged and also those that are not encouraged that everyone should know before an encounter with an Australian. In terms of body language, one should cover their mouth when yawning and excuse themselves. When calling a waiter over, one should show a quiet hand motion and not shout out to them. Winking at a woman, making the ‘V’ sign over ones mouth as well as giving the “thumbs up” is generally considered inappropriate in the country (“Australia-Cultural Etiquette”). To provide an example, an introductory meeting with an Australian would be usually relaxed and casual. A handshake and smile is common practice that is accompanied by a ‘Hello’ or ‘Hello, how are you?’ In the Gesteland spectrum, Australian falls under the category of having an informal business setting. This is evident as Australians are quick to use first names to address the person they are talking to. Hence, one should be aware of this and be ready to address them with their first

Another aspect that Australia is similar to Canada in is the role of their military. Like Canada, they mainly focus on peacekeeping missions, humanitarian assistance,
What is defined as a global citizen? They’re considered to be people or countries who understand their obligations at a global level. Over the past 50 years the countries of the world have become increasingly interconnected. With this, there has been an increasing awareness that only global cooperation can solve problems including poverty and epidemics, stop wars, and reverse environmental degradation and climate change. As the globe battles with these underlying problems, Australia’s partake, even the smallest amount, is fundamentally important, especially with its stance currently as being the 15th richest country in the world. However, in recent years Australia hasn’t demonstrated, in a few of these global issues, the true values and morals of being a good global citizen.

There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
It all started in 1859. Australia was slowly becoming populated with European pioneers who sought the newness of the great, unsettled continent. However, there were a few things from home from which they just couldn’t part.
ANZAC day is remembered every day on the 25th of April, this is a day to remember all the fallen soldiers and all the soldiers who are still fighting for our country. Before I came to Australia, I did some backgrounds preparation and familiarized myself with its landscape, accent, animals and etc. So when I arrived in Sydney in January, everything is anticipated, except Australians’ mighty passion on celebrating the Australia Day. Despite my shallow understanding of Australia’s history, I am entirely affected by the atmosphere. I can still remember the busy city swelled with parades and many people had their face painted or wore flag capes. All the barbeques, fireworks, and people’s excitements make the event like a giant carnival. And interestingly, similar things happened again in the following Anzac day.

The idea of the globalisation of Australian businesses, the process where businesses develop themselves internationally is one of the main issues in our current society. The concept of globalisation has occurred due to many factors, such as reduced trade barriers, a reduction in tariffs and quotas, new developments in technology and also new innovations in transportation technology. These factors that have caused globalisation can result in many consequences, both positive and negative. These consequences are free trade caused by a reduction in tariffs and environmental costs such as pollution caused by factories and greenhouse gasses causing global warming.

On January 26 most Australians celebrate “Australia Day”. Australia day has only recently been marked as a holiday in 1988 it is the day that is celebrated by many Australians by the day of the founding of our nation. Australians celebrate this day with BBQ, partying, going to the beach, dressing up in red,White and blue colours as that represents Australia and the English heritage. On this day, Indigenous people who are the previous inhabitants of the Australian continent, don't celebrate this day as a celebration instead they celebrate it as a day of mourning, a day of survival and a day of invasion. These two opposing takes on the day caused dispute, separation and awkwardness throughout this country.
