Did you know that Buddha was a prince? He descended from the Sakya dynasty. I am now going to now tell you about the prince Gautama Buddha, including his life, which is his Birth, Childhood, and his life as an adult; his religion, which includes the lack of gods, the four noble truths, and the Buddhist monks and nuns, and finally, his death, this is interesting in itself, considering its origin, probable causes, and the legends surrounding it.
Buddha lived from around 565 BC to 484 BC, dying on or around age 80. Buddha was born after his mother, Queen Māyā, according to legend, having a dream about “a beautiful white elephant coming down into her womb”, or, in a different dream, the same elephant presenting her with a white lotus flower, which was taken as a sign that the Buddha, or universal emperor, was about to be born. The child was named Sidharth, but he eventually became known by the name he is commonly known by now, Gautama Buddha. He came to be known by this name because after being born, Buddha was visited by the Court Astrologer, Asit, who predicted that the child would save the world. One week after Buddha was born, though, his mother died and he was brought up by his mother’s sister, or his maternal aunt, Mahapajapati Gotami. During his Childhood, Buddha would sit alone, always lost in his own thoughts. During one palace festival, he sat under one tree the whole time, lost in meditation. His father, King Śuddhodana of the Sakya Dynasty, tried to get him interested in different various things, to get him socializing with the other kids, but nothing worked. ... established. Buddha had a serious illness prior to dying. This illness is called mesenteric infarction, and it was brought on by a large meal given by his host at the time. The meal’s name is translated, literally, as ‘soft pork,’ but the origin of these ingredients are unknown. There are many legends surrounding Buddha’s death, and one is that, even though there are no gods in Buddhism, Buddha was visited by the god of death, Mara, who invited him to die. Buddha was hesitant in accepting the invitation, and it was only after his personal attendant and disciple, Ananda, didn’t recognize his hint to ask Buddha to remain on Earth that Buddha accepted Mara’s invitation to pass away.
So now you know about Buddha, His life, religion, and death. This prince was a truly remarkable person, creating a religion, or what most would call a philosophy, since there are no gods.
