Gatton Argumentative Essay

One of my hardest adversities took place around one and a half years ago. One of my teachers had found Gatton Academy, and told me about it, and, eventually, sent my parents to look into it. Soon we discovered that Gatton was a capital opportunity for me. In fact, as I had finished the majority of the math classes at the school, they thought it a stupendous idea to advance me a couple of grades. As I needed my freshman grades for Gatton, they brought me to the ninth grade. This was quite tough for me, as I would need to say adieu to long-time comrades (or at least visit with them less often), and would need to find an entirely new group of friends, which I feared may not exist. However, realizing that opportunity was there to be taken, I took

it, and sprinted off with it. I said farewell to my classmates, and after a long summer, returned to the school as a freshman. One kid, who had heard that I was coming, began talking rapidly and confusingly to me, entirely overwhelming me. Another, who was his friend, began calming him down, and we all began to converse with each other. I found out that their names were Zachary and Isaiah, and they told me another friend of theirs was in an entirely different class. Later I was acquainted with him: his name was Ty, and, he was a bit of a maniac, to say the least. But we all still thrived, and all of my fears of a friendless, awkward, lonely freshman and sophomore year went away. I would later figure out that Isaiah had been quite silent before that year, alluding to the fact that I may have brought him out of his shell. So all my social fears and adversities had been solved and, not only did I remain social for that year, it was the most social I had been for the entirety of my school career. And I was happy.
