GATTACA, produced by Michael Shemberg, “is a Sci-Fi thriller about an all-too-human man who dares to defy a system a system obsessed with genetic perfection. Ethon Hawke stars as Vincent, an “In-Valid”, who assumes the identity of a member of the genetic elite to purse his goal of traveling into space, with the Gattaca Aerospace Corporation. However, a week or two before his mission, a murder marks Vincent as a suspect. Hawke, is an in-valid, a person that is not born to the standards of society. The reasons for Vincent being my favorite character its because he is a determined, wise, and brave man.
The first reason that Vincent is my favorite character its because he is a determined person.

Throughout the film Vincent shows it. The evidence of determination can be seen when Vincent kept forcing himself to see in accomplishing his goal, going to space. This can be seen in a quote, when the janitor says something rude to Vincent and Vincent says, “If the glass is clean, it will be easier for you to see me on the other side.” (Vincent)
The second reason that Vincent is my favorite character its because he is a wise person. This is evident throughout the film, for example when he convinced the blockade man to let him (Vincent) pass without a sample of his saliva. For reasons being, that Vincent said a wise/smart thing and it is this: “I could give you a contagious specimen.” To further quest, the scene where Vincent tricks the doctor that he has hurt him with the needle to exchange/swap Jerome’s blood for his, is another wise action by Vincent.
The third reason that Vincent is my favorite character its because he is a brave man. This is evident when he applies for the GATTACA Aerospace Corporation job, yet, knowing that he won’t get accepted, reasons being that he is an in-valid. Another, bravery action by Vincent can be seen when he still maintained position at the GATTACA Aerospace Corporation, making it a risk to Vincent because he could have been caught at any

moment.
In conclusion, Vincent is a determined, wise, and brave man, and this are the reasons he is my favorite character from the film (GATTACA). As for GATTACA itself, “ the film is so boldly important, so vastly intelligent and so beautifully rendered that it will likely revolutionize the Sci-Fi genre” (Christopher Brandon, TNT Roughcut Online).
