Why were humans put on Earth? Humans were put on Earth because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but what were the specific reasons? God wanted someone who he could trust, but also someone who could choose from right and wrong, and God was willing to guide us to choose the right. Our God wanted to be a father and make us his beloved companions and he did that by blessing us. But we utterly betrayed Him and refused to listen to God, and he cursed the Earth. So even after we have betrayed Him, is there still a reason for our existence? Like stated before, God had a big plan for us and he still has one now. If you decide to give your heart to God, he will bless you and guide you into the correct path. God already gave us many
Although I read the Genesis2:4b-4:26 and Genesis 1:1-2:4a stories to try to understand why God create us, I still do not understand why, why god create us? Is it because he feel lonely? Or because he wants to have fun? Or “According to the Atrahasis story, the gods created human beings to do the work that the gods themselves refused to do (p.4)”. Why god use so much energy to create us and still need we to believe in him/her and give us pain and suffer, then he comes to save us or redemption? And also, how the Jahwist/Yahwist and the Priestly source knew what God said, and did they see God, like people saw Jesus? The story is God told them or they made it up to make people believe. “These two specific texts are mythic or symbolic narratives, not scientific theories (p.5)”. Krieg is right, not everything can use scientific to determine right and wrong or reason, especially the religion. But I do not think that is good answer for t...
God created Adam and Eve in order to have a personal relationship with them. However, after the Fall, man became separated from God’s family and thus needed someone to step in and pay the price for him to be restored to a relationship with God. The fact that God sent His firstborn in order to redeem us is important because of the significance of the firstborn in the Israelite culture. It shows just how much God loves us and wants us to be restored to His original plan of a
Our purpose in this life is a question that has been asked countless times and answered in various ways. One of the central rational arguments for the existence of God is the teleological argument. This argument focuses in on how intricately designed aspects of life that could not have just fallen into place on their own, they must have had a creator. One of the central practical arguments for the possible existence of God is Pascal’s Wager. This argument is based on weighing the consequences that result from the gamble of believing in God or not believing in God. These arguments can be viewed as comparable and also as diverse.
Humans can think, feel, and reason which differentiate them from the rest of God’s creation. The ability to reason enables human beings to think and reflect on their own nature and the nature of God. The bible teaches us that God created man in his image and likeness. In the beginning of creation human nature was perfect because we were created by God. Genesis 1:31 describes Human beings were created very good by a loving God”. God created humans to operate their lives according to wisdom under God’s kingly reign (Diffey, 2014). God’s purpose in creating mankind was to work and serve (Genesis 2:15), and have dominion over earth (Genesis 1:26-28) The fall of Adam and Eve separated humanity from God and wisdom. This act plunged all of humanity into a history characterized by idolatry (Diffey, 2014), and is the root cause of all human
However, regardless the religion, God’s plan for everyone is identical; God just wants you to exist and prosper in the image he created for you. Bradstreet is a Puritan who believes that God does everything for a greater good, that is going to soon happen or should have happened, that you got in the way of, and is now trying to change your way of life to the sight of him. She explains this by saying, “The world no longer let me love,/ My hope and treasure lies above” (Lines 53 and 54). Edwards is also a Puritan who believes that God is the highest of power and if you are a non-believer/Puritan, that God will punish you for not fulfilling his idea, he made for you by showing you his most furious self and holding you in hell to live everyday even worse than the last. Edwards visualizes this by saying, “There is no other reason to be given why you have not gone to hell, since you have sat here in the house of God, provoking his pure eyes by your sinful wicked manner of attending his solemn worship” (127). In addition to both works, God has the power to determine your joyous and poor days. If you follow him, live your life in his holy name and fulfill his scheme for you, your life will be
God gave us our life to fulfill a purpose. People may drift away from their purpose, but one may not drift too far away to lose their soul. Our soul represents our deepest self, our reason to live. When we get off track on fulfilling our purpose God has to step in and intervene.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
The ultimate purpose of humanity is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. What it means to glorify God and enjoy him forever is to be perfected in love for God and neighbor. In the garden Adam and Even were innocent but they were like children. It was God's ultimate purpose for them to reach maturity and thereby to reach a closer union with him than was possible in the garden. This is why the Son would have become incarnate whether they had fallen or not. He would have done this for the sake of elevating human nature to share in the divine energies. However, man did fall into sin and his nature was corrupted. The two main theories of this are the example theory, which is that our sinful nature consists only in following after Adam in his sin.
There are numerous of different movies, books, and TV shows on how humans think aliens interact, look similar to, and what the media portrays aliens to be like. Occasionally, most will stumble across news articles with a variety of related headings about aliens, UFO’s, or recent known abduction stories. Every person has their own theories and or thoughts on these basic questions: do aliens exist? Could the government be covering up real life “space ships” or encounters? Countless folks have claimed to witness or have fanciful stories that have fascinated countless while several others are turned away. There are Videos, pictures and pieces of physical evidence to support nearly all of these stories. Even more alarming,
I believe that every human being was created for a purpose. Every human being is created different, everyone has different strengths, different weaknesses, different likes and different dislikes, so I chose the passage from God’s Sovereignty Choice, Romans 9:20-21 which states, “But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God?“ Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?” “21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?” God’s ways are higher than any human being, he chose everyone on earth as his greatest creation, so the thought of God is inequitable cannot be amused.
Your plans will fail if you do not consider life in totality. Life is more complex than it may appear. You might do everything that is necessary to succeed but still fail. When you fail, the reasons might have something to do with what you failed to consider. Life is more spiritual than physical. Indeed, life looks to be taking place at the physical level of existence, but this is not reality. Your success will be determined by the spiritual realm of existence. The unseen spiritual forces will determine whether you would succeed or fail in your life.
is in fact the absolute purpose for any human being (the highest Good), and it
Mankind’s origin was premeditated from God, formed from the dust of the earth, and made in His image and likeness. God confers with Himself and rouses Himself to make man in His own image and likeness (Bavinck 1). Because man is made in God’s image and likeness, he is set apart from any other creature or angel ever created. Man has a relationship with God that no other creature will ever have.
Your purpose may be to help other people fulfill their purpose. For example, you may invest in a business that spreads knowledge about God. You may start a club at school where kids talk about big topics like politics. Many years later when you are gone, a kid might go to the club that you started and learn about how the economy works and become a politician, then he might help make the government for the United States better.
...ppens. God has a plan for every person regardless if we listen to it or not. If whether or not we are good or bad determines what happens in our life then there would be no need for God’s mercy. He would not have needed to die on the cross, and we could have all lived our lives relying on karma and luck. Thankfully, however, we do not have to live this way. We can instead look to the one who knows all things. Jeremiah twenty-nine eleven says: For I know the thoughts I have for you say the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. This verse is proven in the lives of those who whole-heartedly follow after God; whereas the people who look to fate are caused to question their own existence. Furthermore, serendipity is a nice thought, but it is not a belief, that as a Christian I want to center my life around.
