The holiday season is the time of year families gather and laughs begin. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, the season brings anxiousness and wonder. To experience the holiday season is more than just gifts and stuffing a turkey. Festivities and gatherings galore, only a rare few celebrate the seasons in a cheery fashion. During the holidays I prefer the holiday fever, family gathering, and holiday food. First, knowing a holiday is arriving can bring unimaginable feelings. Big turkeys and Christmas lights set the mood and instill the holiday spirit. For example, seeing St. Nicholas on a sleigh with eight reindeer may influence the Christmas spirit; thus, he or she may go buy egg nog, hang decorations, or sing Christmas carols. The holiday spirit brings a feeling like no other, and those feelings make the holidays that much greater. The season does not work alone, for family can make a holiday great at home. Next, when it comes to values, family holds a high position on our lists. Having family around during the holiday season is a must; whether you are traveling or hosting.
