Have you ever wondered what the true meaning of friendship is? I never knew how hard the word friendship was to define until someone asked me what does friendship mean to me and how would I describe the word friendship. By definition friendship is a mutual affection between two or more people, but I have learned the meaning of friendship is defined differently by different people. When I think of my friends and friendship I think of someone who I had an instant connection with, someone I could share my common interests with, and someone who understands me in ways most don’t. I met my childhood friend in kindergarten, I remember being really shy and I spilled juice on my dress I was wearing, and this little girl approaches me and starts helping me clean my dress off, she tells me that my dress is pretty and that she has one similar to it, from that point forth we became best friends and nothing has changed that over the years but we always remembered how we met. When someone asks me about my friends I start to almost instantly think of how I met each and every one of my friends and how something as little as a spillage on my dress at 5 years old or a divorce managed to bring me close to the two most important people in my life. Friendship in a lot of ways is awkward because you meet a complete stranger and have similar interests or differences and think wow this person is awesome, that’s how it all begins. In a way friendship is where relationships begin most of the time, that’s at least how it began for me. I started out being best friends with the little boy who lived below me, I was three years old and he was five years old and I can remember us playing together and being the best of friends over the years and when I was 19 I married him and we had two children

In life we come across many people. Some will hate us while others will adore us. The ones who hate us can be referred to as enemies and the ones who show us adoration are referred to as friends.
