The beginning of freshman year was a rocky one. It all started on the first day of school. Mia was nervous, yet excited. As well as being anxious that she will forget her schedule or that she will embarrass herself. Mia went to her first period and noticed that many people from her old school were here. In that first class Mia was confused about the whole lesson. For example, Mia was having trouble with Algebra and she was tensed about English even though that is her best subject. Finally lunch came around, and Mia was thrilled to see that all her best friends were there in the same lunch. The only problem was that they all changed. They were acting very weird around her Mia felt awkward. Mia had told her best friend Lela, that everyone was acting strange. Lela told Mia not to worry about those little things. …show more content…
After lunch, Mia and Lela went to their class and saw that everyone had their own groups of friends while exiting the lunch room.
Mia got called to one of the groups, and Lela got called to another. In the hallway, Mia tried to leave the ball of people, but they would push her back in. While walking to their classes, this person pointed out that Mia wasn’t there she had gone with Lela. They inquired Mia why she wanted to go with Lela. Mia had replied by saying that Lela was her best friend. They thought that she had lost her mind. After that commotion, they went to their class and they were laughing and talking about what had happened in the lunch. Lela agreed with Mia and said that they were acting differently as well. Then this girl from lunch told Mia to sit with them. Mia followed the girl and went to their table. Lela had realized what Mia had meant when she said that people were changing, but not just the people were changing Mia was changing. Lela decided to go to Mia’s table and called her name out loud Mia turned around and got up they both said that they had felt awkward and weird being by
“themselves”. After that class, they got out of school they, and they were both walking home. While walking home, Lela told Mia that this was going to be the best year of high school no matter what happens they will always be friends. Mia told Lela that she couldn’t ask for a better friend they have been through so much that one day of high school can’t even compete with what they have struggled with in the past. At the end, they both realized that they were going to acting changing and that they might have a bumpy ride, but it will be the best ride that they have ever been on.

She saw that everyone knew each other and she felt left out, she didn’t want to talk to no one because she knew her Spanish was bad and felt like they might make fun of her. The teacher came in and made everyone present themselves and Leah was the first one the teacher asked to say their name, what school they came from, and what is their favorite hobby. Leah spoke and everyone knew she wasn’t from there because of her accent. She heard some classmates giggle in the corner and heard one of them called her “Gabacha” (foreigner) (American girl). she then turned around and saw the same guy that she saw through the window and notice that they are in the same class. He spoke up to the classmates that were making fun of her and told them not to be rude. After class was over he walked over to her and asked her not to feel bad , he can help her improve her Spanish and Leah just blushed, they soon became friends and graduated high school together and they ended up
Rena Cohen had returned from camp high-spirited, anticipating her long-awaited senior year of high school. With only two days left to catch up with her friends, Rena called Malka Koenig and Lizzy Zimmerman and set up to see them at Cafe Bonjour. She couldn’t wait to hear how Malka enjoyed her lessons in computer programming and how Lizzy enjoyed her stay in camp. At the cafe, Rena realized something was wrong. Lizzy and Malka looked uncomfortable around each other and after just a few minutes, Malka got up and walked out. Lizzy refused to tell Rena what was wrong, so Rena got up and left too. When school began, things only got worse. Malka insisted that Rena was her best friend, Lizzy insisted that Rena was her best friend, and Rena wasn’t so sure she was friends with either of them. One thing was for certain: they were no longer the inseparable threesome everyone envied. As her year progressed, Rena grew more and more distant from her once undisputed friends. Their silence baffled her and she felt lost in the crowd; by twelfth even the loners had found their place in the grade. Malka became close friends with Tzipporah since they were both G.O. heads. Lizzy became friends with a girl named Riva. One day Malka approached Rena and told her she wanted to tell ...

I was told that this, my junior year, would be the easiest year of my high school career. And no, they were absolutely wrong. It was not just school and grades that I was concern about either. I had other things to worry about, things like, driving, clubs, friends and family. I however had no idea that it would be this difficult. Throughout this school year I have learned many things; like the value of sleep, whose really your friend, and that although very important, grades are not everything.

He we go. Just me and myself now. I can write whatever I want and Mrs. Wesbecher can’t read it. To this point I have wrote about a lot of fun things I have done throughout high school, but that was just the PG version. Sophomore year is when things really began to heat up. One day over at Alex’s we found the key to his parents liquor cabinet. We did exactly what 15 year old guys would do, took some sips and wow did we think we were badasses. Looking back opening the cabinet taking a few sips and locking it back up really quick was quite comical. One night during Sophomore year it was Alex, Cal, and I, Alex drank a lot and we started to walk around town (no license yet). We walked around town for a long time with Alex’s sloppy ass. After a while
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
The first day of school started and Kandy was in 10th grade. Her new clothes got her a lot of attention, everyone complimented her about how they loved what she was wearing. That was the only thing she was confident about, her clothes. She knew that her style was awesome. Her best friend, Ang, was in two of her classes. Kandy thought that this would be the best year of school because she never had any friends in any of her classes before. Turns out they both had the same lunch. They would talk up by the road, on the sidewalk, to Speedway everyday for lunch. For some reason people would always honk at them and one day a girl yelled out the window and called them sluts. Obviously because she was jealous. The first few days of school went by fast, then kept getting slower and slower.
Bonnie the secretary introduced me to my new teacher. As Mrs. Bonnie was leaving the room, my new teacher Mrs. Evaheart introduced me to the class. As I stared at the class I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. I wanted to go back to my old school where I had friends, knew almost everyone, a place where I didn’t feel lonesome, a place anywhere but here. As I saw each and every one of my new classmates faces the utter dread that I felt slowly began to fade as I saw a familiar face. Seeing one of my former friends give me a renewed hope that maybe being in this school won’t be so bad after
My first year in college has been a rewarding experience. As I look back on my Why College, Why Now essay, I realize that I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about myself. I am proud that I accomplished my goals I made in my first year of college and I exceeded my expectations. I still have the same goal for the future, but I added more goals for the future. I am attending Wilmington University because I want to make my future brighter. Attending college and earning a degree in communication media will help me obtain an exciting job as a professional journalist.
The school year has started with me with a very frustrating experience. Junior High school was not exactly that way I imagined. First lesson was my explicit and direct exposure to what a junior high school is. From the first lesson I already understood that I have
I had never cried or not wanted to go to school. In the beginning, I was very shy and used to whisper everything in the teacher’s (Rosa) ears. I was very particular about keeping my footwear clean, while polishing shoes, I polished underneath too. My friends were artistic and were interested in art and music. In middle school, I had an amazing teacher. She was very friendly and helpful to all of us. My friends were really fun to hang out with and we clicked since the beginning. They shared the same interests with me like reading books, dancing, writing, etc. We used to bunk our art classes and play games in the class. I still talk to most of them, thanks to technology. The school once took us on a 5-day camping trip nearby and it was the best part of middle school. I loved the time spent with my friends, we shared so many secrets with each other. My favorite memory is when they took us to a beach. None of us had beach clothes so we all went into the water in our school uniforms. It was an amazing
I can honestly say that I thought my first semester of college had went better than I thought it would’ve gone. Academically, my grades are really good and I know that I have above a 3.0 GPA so that’s cool. Also, I thought that the professors were going to be jerks and not really care if we understood the material or not. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The professors were so helpful and kind every step of the way. However, I developed quicker socially than I had anticipated I would. At the beginning of the semester I was mostly in my room and lonely, but now I know a lot of people that I can honestly call my friends.
