My parents fled Communist Vietnam in search of a better life. As refugees, they were presented the opportunity to leave their oppressed state, and live in freedom and prosperity in the United States. Stepping off of the airplane, they were immersed in a sea of English-speakers. With no money and no knowledge of English, my parents found a successful American life to be a great challenge. Thankfully, the Free Enterprise System made it possible for my parents to work diligently and live a well-earned life. Occupying jobs as engineers in the petroleum and chemical industry, my parents are allowed to keep more more of their hard earned salary, without intrusive government taxes. This allows him to launch new ventures in order to capture untapped markets and better serve the increasing needs of consumers. Starting his business, he paid the bank interest by taking out a loan. He purchased web hosting services from tech companies, bought raw materials from hardware stores and hired employees to provide labor. By interconnecting related industries, the Free Enterprise System helps everyone succeed together.
The Free Enterprise System is necessary for the growth and stability of a free world. Not only has the Free Enterprise System helped my parents live the American dream, but it has also given my siblings and I the life we live now. I live in a nice home, have more than enough food and water, and own more clothes than you can imagine.
