Education I haven't always known that teaching would be in my future. As a young student I was always interested in science and math and I dreamt of becoming either a pediatrician or a veterinarian. Throughout high school I remained confident that I would study biology in college, but I no longer was interested in pursuing a medical profession. I realized that I loved high school and I could truly picture myself teaching one day. I started college with an open mind and over the past three years, I have become interested in many aspects of my major, biological sciences. I became involved in the animal science department and I am currently a partner in the student-run dairy herd, CREAM, which stands for Cooperative for Real Education in Agriculture Management. The group consists of sixteen students and various advisors that manage thirty milking Holsteins and make all of the decisions affecting the business. I am also interested in the field of microbiology and am currently doing my undergraduate research in the Quality Milk Research Lab. This past summer I tutored a ninth grade student for his upcoming finals. I helped him with math and biology. It was the first teaching experience I have had and it immediately rekindled my interest in education. I decided that summer that I would get my teaching certification, and consequently, I began my education requirements this spring semester. As soon as I started these classes, especially EDSC 209, 1 knew I had made the right choice. I feel at home in high schools and comfortable teaching and interacting with students. The job, as I see it now, is a great deal more challenging than I had realized, but I am excited about becoming a teacher and I feel as though I will excel as an educator. My initial portfolio is organized into five basic categories. First, there is a section for recommendations and performance appraisals that I have collected thus far. Second, is the section dedicated to my content area, which includes biology, chemistry, nutrition, physics, statistics, and math. The third section exemplifies my dedication to working with young people. The fourth section depicts my understanding of learner's needs and my direct experience with secondary school students. The final section includes a collection of resources that I can utilize as an educator. I have included my first assignment of my education requirements. The assignment was to draw a representation of "equality and justice". The drawings are located in the beginning and the end of my portfolio. It was an enjoyable assignment and gave me a positive start in the field of education.
Housing is the most instable component. It gave a new perspective for research that economists did not have. In the Great Recession the housing decreased more than anything. From 1997 to 2005 a momentum (the rate of acceleration of a security's price or volume, Investopedia) was driven. In 1997 no more capital gains taxes on houses up to half million dollars. The Bubble started in 1991.

The implementation plan for developing student portfolios will adhere to the following criteria for each individual student once eligibility is determined as stipulated by 25 CFR 39.115 and 25 CFR 39.116 (2011). The United States endured a dark time in the 1930’s. While Americans battled the depression, these that resided in the plains states suffered through a decade of severe weather conditions. This decade of several weather and ultimately the worst environmental disaster in US history became to be known as the Dust Bowl. The Dust Bowl caused farms to fail, severe health concerns and an increased migration to the west. The Dust Bowl resulted from a lack of agricultural knowledge and extreme weather conditions, but through research, the agricultural lands continue to improve.
In this section of your teaching portfolio, include a copy of your degree, teaching license, awards of honor and specialized training certificates. Adding these parts to your portfolio will give you as an educator the opportunity to illustrate your accomplishments and present yourself as a highly qualified
In 1929, A Yale University Economist Irving Fisher stated. " The nation is marching along a permanently high plateau of prosperity".(5) 5 days later the stock market crashed and the worst economic downturn in American history called the "Great Depression" began. The Depression started in 1929 and would last for a decade until we entered War World II. The Great Depression affected every part of economy and no job was safe. In 1929 unemployment was at 1.5 million and by 1933 unemployment reached over 13 million which meant 1 out of 4 were out of work (3). Some who were successful businessmen before the stock market crash and now selling pencils or apples on the street corners after the crash .Many business closed their doors, factories shut down and banks failed causing homelessness, poverty and general despair on many Americans. Huge numbers of Americans had their lives upset by the Depression. Tens of thousands of migrant farm workers traveled the nation looking for employment. Farming income fell some 50 percent and people went hungry because so much food was produced that production became unprofitable. Many Americans watched their homes and life savings be lost because of the stock market. Confidence in the market was lost and without that confidence investors pulled out and the market collapsed.(4)

Since I graduated high school in 2009, I immediately went to El Camino Community College and earned my Associates Degree. Once entering California State University Dominguez Hills in 2013, I obtained a full time nanny position to an amazing family of two children, which allows me to focus on my schooling while still being able to work. From 2012 to 2016, I was volunteering in the Long Beach Unified School District as a VIP to get a feel for the classroom and to know what to expect when I become a teacher. In September 2016, I became a LBUSD Substitute Teacher and I have been enjoying it ever since because it has given me the opportunity to become a classroom teacher. Currently, I am in the last phase of the teaching credential program at Dominguez
Farms were majorly affected because crop prices fell by 60%. Many farmers were kicked out of their home because they couldn’t pay the bills for groceries or their home. Weather also made it a hard time for farmers. Dust, insects, summer’s heat and winter’s cold affected farms. When the dryness, heat, dust and grasshoppers destroyed the crops, farmers were left with no money. Large amounts of farmers left the Great Plains because of the depression.
I first asked the teacher what she feels is the purpose of the portfolio assessment. The teacher agrees with the basic premise of our text, that developmental portfolios are used to collect information pertaining to a certain child to reflect progress and growth from the beginning to end of the school year. It is her opinion that a portfolio is an excellent way to show growth in varied areas of development: cognitive, language, social, and emotional.
...inflation. This caused stocks to tumble. Real estate and fixed income became the prominent assets. From the 80's on, the market has enjoyed many years of prosperity, with the 90's being the decade of largest market growth. However, none of it would have been possible if it weren't for the lessons learned in the 1920's (Brown 90-107).

For long periods of time, education has been important to the development the different scientific, moral and ethical fields of the humanity. Portfolios serve the purpose of an extensive record of a student’s best work and skills. As the student progresses through life, record keeping and reflection becomes an expectation. A résumé cannot possibly describe the entire list of qualities each individual possesses. As a result, portfolios thrive in high schools and offices alike to demonstrate a person’s capabilities in the greatest detail. Any person with a future-oriented mindset should have a portfolio to create opportunities for a successful life.
