Violence in Video Games I believe that violence in video games, music, and movies is not to blame at all for violence in society. I believe that these things do the total opposite and allow us to vent some of the built up anger we have that leads to violence. I think the media is just trying to find something to blame, and most importantly for them, are trying to gain interest in themselves. In fact, I would say the media just gives people who are violent what they want, along with society and people's general ideas about how movies and games cause violence, a scapegoat. It enrages me when people tell me video games cause violence. In videogames, it is sometimes possible to be a violent character and hurt others, and people think blindly that makes the people who play them more violent. For me, if I am mad, playing such a game vents out my anger and I am no longer mad, and no one has been hurt. The same goes for music and movies. If I watch a movie and someone gets killed, it is not going to make me go kill someone like in the movie. How much do people actually get away with killing in movies? The villain usually dies, and that doesn't sound very good to me. Music is just that, music, and nothing more. If I were to start listening to music with violent lyrics, it would not make me become violent at all. If I am violent in the first place and listen to the violent lyrics, it is not the music's fault I was violent. When the media looks for attention, they usually report on things like this. It is always negative, and it always attracts attention. People never think about what is being said, they just believe it. When there is a disaster, the media just glorifies it to attract attention to itself. If such a disaster is a terrorist act, the media is just giving them (terrorists) the attention they want, while all the time blaming the problem on video games, music, and movies and TV.
In the case at hand, Park Meadows argues they have new evidence sufficient to justify reconsideration of the partial grant of summary judgment for Dillard’s. Park Meadows also contends that, in light of this new evidence, reconsideration is warranted to prevent manifest injustice. The evidence Park Meadows claims is new and justifies reconsideration is an email exchange in March – May of 2013 between Park Meadows and Dillard’s store manager and an accompanying affidavit done March 15, 2018 regarding the planter boxes outside of Dillard’s. Park Meadows contends that the email was not previously available until Jeff Koch provided it to counsel after the order on February 20, 2018. Park Meadows further contends that they were not aware of the
People have always been looking for a reason why horrible things happen. The media is quick to blame video games as the target and cause of many shootings that have occurred, ever since the Columbine and Quake. People have been blaming video games for violence for years now, ever since violent video games have been made. News reports blame video games more and more for each shooting, telling the public how this person played video games for x amount of hours a day, and that video games caused him or her to shoot people, and how video games encourage and reward violence. Anti-video game lobbyists have been campaigning to have violence removed from video games, citing resources that they themselves have created as reasons for such, poorly done studies where they confirm that kids are more aggressive through how much hot sauce they put on someone’s fries.

Video games, with violent content, do not cause violent behavior. However, in the case of an individual experiencing, violent, disruptive, and dangerous behaviors, video games may contribute to an outburst of violence.
Video games. They provide an escape from reality to explore worlds and realms beyond our own. However there is a lot of controversy surrounding wether or not video games are good for you, many people are under the impression that video games turn kids and adults alike into mindless zombies hellbent on violence but in this essay I aim to convince you that not only is this untrue but that video games are actually beneficial. I’d also like to mention that too much of anything is bad for your health, for example extremely high quantities of broccoli can be toxic.
An article on Procon.org says, “A peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health found that children, especially boys, play video games as a means of managing their emotions: "61.9% of boys played to 'help me relax,' 47.8% because 'it helps me forget my problems,' and 45.4% because 'it helps me get my anger out.". If anything, shooting games help people more than hurt people because they get to release their anger and problems on Fictional characters. PIxels on a screen instead of real people. Isn’t that better? Some might say that casual players that aren’t angry could become mad from the game either by hackers, “campers” or the difficulty. However, there are no studies from reliable sources that say those reasons have caused actual violence. There have been many fake or unreliable articles about this. Wouldn’t parents encourage their kids to play a shooter game if they got angry? According to them they shouldn't because they are violent, causing this anger that people have to be used on someone else.
We did a pre-test in the same way in which the experiment is to be
