In the “self made Men”, the author Frederick Douglass creates an image of a self made man, and how someone can become a self made man. There are two type of men in the world, a man that make it happen, a man that watch it happen.

Self made men are the men who under peculiar difficulties and without the helps of favors from others. “ Have attained knowledge, usefulness, power and position and have learned from themselves the best uses to which life can be put in this world”. This quote supports my thesis because to be self made man you will have to go through different trials and tribulations in life to become a self made man, knowledge is power then you find usefulness in that knowledge and put yourself in a position to do better.
