Legendary Band, Great Music that is Queen
As soon as I heard the song “These Are the Days of Our Lives” I fell head over heels in love with the music of Queen. I had heard their songs on the radio but hadn’t taken the time to really listen to them until this particular song. Even now I enjoy watching videos of Queen through YouTube and watching Freddie Mercury’s dynamite performances always brings a tear to my eye. He was such a great talent and certainly much too young to be taken from this world but the music of Queen and the videos keep him alive and in our minds and our hearts.
Remembering Freddie Mercury

Even though he wasn’t very much into astrology Mercury used the Western star signs of the band as inspiration for the crest. The crown with two lions on either side represent Roger Taylor and John Deacon, who are both Leos, the crab for Cancer, Brian May and the two fairies as stand-ins for the sign Virgo, is Freddie Mercury’s sign. The entire crest is overtaken by the Phoenix, the mythological bird symbolizing the never-ending cycle of life and death. This was later used as the symbol for the Mercury Phoenix Trust which is an AIDS charity that Queen created after Mercury passed

The Beatles are known, respectively, as the fathers of modern pop music. After their first #1 hit “Please Please Me” was released in 1963 the Beatles were set in motion to become one of the most influential groups of musicians to ever rock our world. With over forty-nine records, 37 #1’s, and thirty- four number one albums (the highest amount of any band in history), there is no denying that they made a monumental ripple in the musical world. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr surprisingly all come from humble beginnings in a town that, until their superstardom, was barely noticed on the map. Liverpool, being kn...

Elvis Presley may be the single most important figure in American 20th century popular music. Not necessarily the best and certainly not the most consistent. But no one could argue with the fact that he was the musician most responsible for popularizing rock & roll on an international level. Viewed in cold sales figures, his impact was phenomenal. Dozens upon dozens of international smashes from the mid-'50s to the mid-'70s, as well as the steady sales of his catalog and reissues since his death in 1977, may make him the single highest-selling performer in history.
...as just right when he was going to put out his 2nd album called “Life after Death.” When they released this album after he had died, it was a very big hit. Over seven hundred thousand copies were bought. Two years later another album of his was released called “Born Again.” This album was unreleased material by him. Later on they decided to release another album called “Duets: The Final Chapter” in 2005.
Queen was a standout among-st the best Rock groups of the 1970s and 1980s yet they aggregate would have been nothing without front man Freddie Mercury. With powerhouse vocals and touchy stage exhibitions, he was a standout among-st the most gifted specialists ever. Mercury was Glam Rock, Soul and great, out-dated Rock and Roll. Many of us have a dream in life to be remembered by all for something great. It’s a lofty goal that only few have, or ever will achieve. Elvis Presley was one of the few people in our American history that achieved this status. Known as “The King of Rock and Roll”, his achievements have influenced our country like none of its precedents. This paper will explain Elvis Presley’s life, his death, and his profound influence after life.
Not only did Elvis Presley impact the world throughout his life, but he still continues to do so in death. Changing the face of music as well as society’s perspective on crucial topics, Presley has
In all his years of touring he managed to touch and inspire other people into following his footsteps to become a performer. One of the most known for inspiring Freddie Mercury is the late lead singer of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. Cobain stated in an interview how Mercury inspired him. “I used to take naps in the van and listen to Queen. Over and over again and drain the battery on the van, then we’d be stuck.
A beloved singer-songwriter and pianist also known as “The Genius,” Ray Charles dominated the 1950s music industry as his style skyrocketed, inspiring many subsequent artists. Charles’s attitude was an eye-opening experience for listeners, which is why his contribution to the music industry was unforgettable. Despite his blindness, it is astonishing that anyone would know where the keys were, let alone play them the way he did. His hold on the music world remains relevant as his style is so well known that artists today still sample his compositions. Although music evolved in many ways after Charles's death, his influence – especially in terms of fusions consisting of jazz, blues, classical, and rock – is still acknowledged as virtually unequaled.
.... In 1990 Freddie dragged the band back into the studio to record a new album. It was odd to record a new album so quickly after their previous release. The result was an superbly made album. In my opinion it's their finest material. It was released in 1991 and was a success throughout Europe, and reached the top 40 in the U.S. On November 23 Freddie addressed the public telling them of his battle with Aids. The next day he died. No one knows how long he had the disease, but some estimate about five years. The rest of the band decided that no Freddie meant no Queen. Brian, Roger, and John went into the studio together and compiled outakes from past studio albums and produced their final album "Made In Heaven". It was a strong album, and a fitting end to Queen's reign. They will forever be recognized as one of the most influencial bands in music history.

One year later, on August 27, 1967, when the Beatles were in India trying to seek enlightenment, their friend and manager Brain Epstein was found dead in his own house, due to a overdoes of the drug Carbitrol. Two years later, in August 1969, Lennon came to the conclusion that it was time that he needs to depart from the group, after he left it was official, the group has become to an end. The band’s breaking up was a secret until April 10, 1970 when McCartney came to the conclusion to separate the group.
As mentioned above, he reshaped the landscape of Pop from the 80’s onward. Today there are many people who follow his footsteps and attempt to take his place. Ambitious artists who are already famous are aiming higher.
The popularity of the Beatles proves time and time again to be nothing short of eternal. Like any great works of art, the Beatles’ records carried and still do carry an ageless brilliance that continues to captivate new generations of listeners. Their records are still heard heavily today on the radio, continue to sell in immense quantities, and are forever remembered through the covers done by pop and rock artists in present day.
