For example from my own experiences In my writhing 201 class, my instructor by making due dates and dead lines for different assignment in class created an ability for each student to be responsible for his or her works. I remember, I missed my second essay assignment’s dead line and I wasn’t responsible enough to turn my essay in on time. I was lucky that my instructor accepted my late assignment but, I never forget how missing a deadline could change my grade. After my second essay, I tried to be a responsible person by making plan for my assignments and doing my works on time. Writing 201 class was a good challenge for me to become a responsible person in my life. Another example that made each student to become more responsible for their works was book clubs meetings.
Finally, I believe a character must be responsible. Responsibility comes with experience, and is something a person has, or they do not have. I am responsible by maintaining a grade point average greater than three point eight five while participating actively in numerous extra curricular activities and working more than a twenty-five hour workweek. With great power, comes responsibility in which I will always have.

...ut fun, I'm stressing my mind too much. Austin Dopp and Thomas Parish created an ABC journal about how to succeed in college. They mentioned that students need to study but also take a break and be ready to learn and pay attention (Dopp, Austin, Parish). Powers and Swick mention in tip seven, celebrate small accomplishments along the way, is that you should celebrate your small accomplish like tests, quiz, and finishing you semester.
One way I hope to achieve this is by creating programs and support groups that foster the idea of student success. In college, I was fortunate enough to be involved in the First Generation Scholar Program, which allowed me to be surrounded by a supportive group students and advisors that helped facilitate my transition into college. In the program, we had weekly meetings to ensure that we were on track with our academic goals. In addition, we were in constant contact with other students in the program, creating a sense of community among students of our same background. All of this care and assistance created a nurturing environment that cultivated a sense value, acceptance, and encouragement.
Have you ever thought about yourself if you are in the fixed or a growth mindset? A fixed mindset person is someone who overcomes obstacles, works hard, and failure does not stop them. On the other hand a person who is in the fixed mindset is someone who is non challenge, gives up, or thinks that success is abuse. In a book called “Mindset The New Psychology of Success” the author Carol S. Dweck talks about different ways we can convert ourselves from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset and the author also talks about the qualities of the growth and fixed mindsets. In a movie“Freedom Writers” the author Erin Gruwell shows us how she was a growth minded teacher but her students were in the fixed minded group. Throughout the school year the students had a fixed mindset but as time went by the students somehow their mindsets into the growth mindset. Freedom writers illustrates the fixed mindsets of the teacher and students and a growth minded teacher who changed everything.

From my point of view, having a growth mindset is the best for success since this belief assists students learn and develop a good self-motivation in goals, efforts, and setbacks.
