The fourth category seeks first to understand I scored the lowest with a total of only three. I’m known for not caring for others feelings and just telling you what comes to my mind. I have never been the nice friend, but always the friend who tells you the truth. I really need to work on that because they are a lot of sensitive people in the world. When I get into a disagreement with others I will ignore their viewpoint. I only care if you understand my side of the story, and that’s something I really need to work on. As no one in the world is always right, so I need to take in consideration others viewpoints. The fifth category is synergize which I scored a total of sixteen. I’m very creative for searching new ideas and solutions. I can sit on YouTube and look at different experiments and then try them on my own to see if my results will be the same. Also since I speak my mind a lot, I always encourage others to do the same. I feel like if everyone expresses their feelings they wouldn’t be any other motives within anyone. I’m also very open to seeing the insights and valuing my friends. I’ve had the same group of friends since I was about eleven years old and they teach me so much. …show more content…
Over the years of stress and life changes I let my health fall behind. As I’m getting things back in order I’m losing weight and becoming a better me. I love meeting new people and making connections. While in college, I learned it’s just as important to have a degree as it is making connections with others is your career field. Also it’s very important to me to enjoy life and live my best life. I know life is short, so it’s important I enjoy every bit of it. I make sure I take trips and schedule me time just to get in control of my thoughts and
...ional well being mostly varies by week through the actions and accomplishments I have achieved. Sometimes I have little self-confidence, optimism, and self-esteem. Although I can hide these factions of my life fairly well sometimes I do slip and it becomes very noticeable. The main way I feel I can combat this emotion strife is to find ways to motivate myself. The best way to do this is to seek professional help when I need it and to spend time with people who make me happy and motivated. By engaging in happy and friendly activities with family, friends, and loved ones I should be able to build up optimism. In doing so fighting low self esteem and low self confidence will be easier and almost immediate. Thus working on these factors will motivate and assist me in accomplishing my overall target behavior of doing regular check-ups and recognizing symptoms of disease.
The first of these characteristics is my hard working mentality, and I am sure that this characteristic is thrown around a lot by candidates but I believe that I truly work harder than most people are willing to. I have had to earn every ounce of everything that I currently have. Whether it was finally getting into Pitt, or playing football at the DII college level the only reason I have ever been able to attain these achievements is that I put in the time, and worked harder than even I thought was possible for myself, I was never the most naturally gifted person in the world, I had to work hard, or I would not be in the position to even apply for a position such as this. Another thing that I feel differentiates myself is that I have experience in many different academic disciplines, I was not that student that simply took my major classes, and easy classes to get through school. I have taken and have a ton of interest in many different topics such as Political Science, and History. I feel that these multifaceted interests, and course history make me a great candidate for the
Write a brief description of your profile. My top three intelligences are language, self, and body movement. First of all, my top intelligent is language. I enjoy reading and writing. I love to write and read poetry. I enjoy saying, hearing, and seeing words. In other words, I enjoy everything that have to do with language. The second choice is self. I’m very good at being my own teacher. I love to work alone and spend time by myself. According to the assessment, I like to give time to myself to reflect on new ideas and information. Lastly, the third choice is body movement. I like everything that I have to do with movement (it is true!) I enjoy to move around. For example, run, walk, and
I got fatigued after the pressure of college. I needed to have a rest to recoup my health and vitality. This break also provided me a chance to rethink about my goals, which made me second-guess my goals. I remember the conversation with my English professor had about going back to our early childhood. That conversation just reminded me how living without concerns was way better than my life now. Now, I just think about the future and becoming successful. I am so obsessed about becoming successful that I haven’t talked to my family and friends back home for almost three weeks. Tha...
After scoring myself on the Dispositions Rubric, I based my answers on what I thought best described my personality. All of my answers may seem like I gave myself a perfect score; however, I realize that I still have the potential to grow in all of the disposition areas with more experiences that I get in the classrooms. My values and beliefs played a huge role in how I scored myself.
When I took the self-assessment test I got one personality type as my highest of all six personality types . The personality type that I scored the highest was social, and it matches perfect with the kind of work I envision doing it in my future. I was not surprised when I got the highest in social because I think this is how friends and loved one’s see myself when I am around them. For instance, they describe as me as a person who value helping others even if I have to go out my way to provide others with what they need. Friends, and close ones always says that I am a caring person who listen and take people’s problems very seriously. Something else that they about myself is that I am good at giving people advice or direct them to the right path. Moreover, my coworkers and friends always referred to me as a someone who is always willing to take new challenges and that I am good at sense when something's not right for them. All of these traits that people say I have are similar to the qualities and skills that social workers in general need in order for them
2) On Conscientiousness, I rank very high – 86%. I also agree with this placement. I am well-organized and reliable. I feel that this part of my personality weighs down my openness to new experiences above. I’m very careful and calculated, taking care to get things right. 3) In Extraversion I ranked very low at just 7 percent. This is probably an accurate depiction, but if you asked most people who know me they wouldn’t rank me that low. I am a quiet, thoughtful person and I prefer small groups to large crowds. I am perfectly happy spending quiet time on my own. I actually work very hard at being more outgoing and forcing myself to talk to people in social situations where I would feel more comfortable melding into the background.
Up until a few years ago, I used to think it was silly when I would complain to someone about something trivial and they would say to me, “At least you have your health”--as if that were supposed to be some kind of consolation. I guess I thought I’d always be healthy and besides, at eighteen years old, you don’t really consider or plan around it when looking at your future. There’s school, love life, social life, and work—no room for bad health, really. I had always just considered my health to be somewhere ticking along in the background, until I reached the magical age of forty, when it would totally fail and I would start to experience all those awful things that happen to you when you get “old”. I’m trying to say that I pretty much took my health for granted. My life felt perfect at the time. It was a few weeks before Christmas of my freshman year in college. I had a wonderful boyfriend, tolerable job, only two finals left to take, and all of my Christmas shopping done. Breathing was pretty much the last thing on my mind…until that snowy night in December.
My second highest score came from Perfectionist behavior. I think this tie hand in hand with Affiliative, in the sense I am trying hard to be accepted by others. I find that I am never satisfied with a situation, and find solutions for creating a challenge. Like I stated, I don’t let myself become to comfortable, so by becoming distant, I create a challenge for myself. I am not satisfied with a relationship if I am too comfortable, I try to find ways to improve. I have high standards which result in disappointment from people and myself if they aren’t met. At work I find competition, when I am not at the best, I am trying to always improve. I find this exhausting, because it is never enough.
I improve my overall wellness by ensuring I am staying connected to God through church, spiritual reading, praying and my accountability partner (spiritual). I also try to stay in good spirits by mentally and physically protecting my self-esteem and self worth. Any time I get negative feelings about myself I refocus my thinking. I also try to find the purpose of both good and bad situations I encounter. I believe everything happens for a reason but it is up to us to discover the purpose (emotional). I also love to work out and being in shape. Sometimes it get hectic with my work and school schedule but I am learning that every bit counts. I work out at least three times a week for 45 min and I am working on making eating a healthy life style (physical). I improve my social wellness by being a positive influence
For the Openness to Experience/Intellect, my score indicated that I prefer traditional and familiar experiences. While that may be true, it also indicated that I was uncreative and had narrow interest. I think I am a very creative person, because some In allowing them to have a voice, they will be able to offer feedback or contributions (positive or negative) that can be instrumental in some decision making. I will set the example by being a good role model, so that they will not only hear what they are expected to do, but also see.
I am an intuitive-feeling personality. I am charismatic, participative and very people oriented. I tend to focus on the big picture and not the small specifics. I am not power hungry and try to be helpful and giving to those around me.
Other strengths include being self-confident, conscientious, diligent and determined. It was interesting to see my lower scores as well; the lowest average score was sensitivity (3.2), followed closely by self-assuredness and perception and empathy. Although I consider myself sensitive, I believe the sense of sensitivity does not apply as often towards others I interact with. For example, I often speak my mind and voice my opinion with little thought of the consequence or impact it might have on those around me. Thus, sensitivity is not one of my existing strengths, but rather an opportunity for growth. I also found it interesting to note how I scored significantly lower in the human skill, and higher in technical, which I did not expect. This score likely correlates with my score form the LTQ, which identified room for improvement in relating with
This relates to most of my life. Social health is all about our interactions and relationships we have with people. I feel pretty strong in my ability to fulfill my social roles I deal with people on a daily basis. I have no problem talking to anyone I am very outgoing and love meeting new people. My job helps me everyday get better at this skill, it is an important skill to have in the working world of today. I like to give my undivided attention to people and listen to them and help. My social health gets better with each day I am very proud of my strength in this dimension. I have a good ability to help people to be a
My health is of great importance to me. I firmly believe that having good health is imperative for a happy life. Having bad health can wreck havoc in one’s daily life. I know from personal experience because it has been happening to me these past few weeks. I’m thankfully, recovering as time passes, but I can contribute most of the misery I went through due to lack of sleep. I’ve only experienced these awful symptoms for about a short amount of time, but it’s probably the worst torment I’ve ever experienced in my life to this date. I feel so much happier now because my symptoms are improving. Having good health makes life much more bearable, and now I’m able to do my daily activities with much more ease. Taking care of my body is probably the best thing I can do for myself because it will keep me happy in both the short term, and long term.
