Being a great football player
Being a great football player is a hard task that many people try to reach in their career. A lot of football players fall short of this goal. A great football player is a person and leader who shows heart ,passion, and pride for the game. Someone who will put the needs of the team before his or her own is a great player. These are things that can be hard to find in a player and even harder to teach. I have played beside great players and bad players, having seen the effect that each kind of player has on a team. Playing beside a great football player comes with all kinds of pros and cons. I have the comfort of being beside someone I know who is going to give his all and rarely mess up. So playing beside them, I have to match their style of play, which is not easy all the time. Playing beside a bad player is just the opposite of a great player. I have to watch to make sure they do not mess up, causing me not to focus on my job. This makes for a bad chain reaction of events that could lose us the game. My great football player is someone who is passionate about football. He lives football; it is all he thinks about ,so the fans and other players know when that big moment comes, he will not let them down. He puts

A great player can set the tone of the game by a great play. Then the a bad player could kill the drive as soon as it starts either by missing a assignment or playing selfish. For example, this season I ran back a kickoff ,for about 90 yards just to have it called back by a flag. It was a blocking in the back 20 yards behind the play that killed the drive. If he would have stopped being selfish, we could have had a touchdown and a huge momentum swing in the game: when a great player would have blocked and gotten ready for the next play instead of making a selfish

He is very smart and knowledgeable. But he didn't get to where he is now without struggle. Power and fame almost ruined him. Yet he was able to bounce back and use his experience to learn from and shape his future and create a positive outcome. He made it positive not only for himself but for others as well. He set his goals and was determined. One thing

The game is tied, there are only three seconds left on the clock, and they have a mere ten yards left to score. The players look to the quarterback as he runs onto the field with the final play of the game. It is times like these that most people look for a leader to lead them to victory. However not all leaders are on the field. Throughout history there have been many leaders and they all share some of the same qualities. Those qualities are bravery, experienced, and dedicated. Without these qualities those leaders would been ineffective.
What truly is amazing is the person Tim Tebow represents off the field. He is a devout Christian who works to spread his religion and give hope to those in need. Tebow has been involved with controversy that started in his days in high school, due to a law in Florida that allowed him to pick his high school. Tebow is possibly the only player to be under national scrutiny from his high school playing days through his career in the NFL both on and off the field. Most of this controversy is because of his faith and how he displayed it on field. The best way to describe him is to say that he is a polarizing person and player in the sense that people either love or hate him. Tim Tebow is, indeed, a great person and role model on the playing field as well as off of it.
...f a team and a legend”). He also became highly known for giving inspirational advice to players and helping the players not only on the field, in addition to off the field. One of his famous quotes. “The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel… These are the qualities that are so much more important than any of the events themselves” (Mckerley, 15).
Fantasy football started at the Milford Plaza Hotel in New York City. A man named Wilfred “Bill” Winkenbach invented fantasy football. He was an Oakland area businessman and a partner with the Oakland Raiders. He met with three friends who were all a part of the Raiders organization. They met in Winkenbach’s hotel room and cracked some brews then Bill started talking about a game he thought of that involved the PGA tour and Major League Baseball. The league focused on AFL skill players and it was called the GOPPPL (Greater Oakland Professional Pigskin Procrastinators League). The league had eight teams and had a list of certain qualifications to meet. Members had to meet one of the following qualifications an administrative
Ironically, Payton's exceptional rushing statistics tend to obscure the fact that he was an exceptional all-round football player, arguably the best who ever lived. He was blessed with a wide variety of athletic skills and he put them all to good use during his NFL career.
Football is a game of adversity and emotion. People who have not played a sport or follow one closely don’t understand the emotion behind game. They think that football is just a game, but for those who are involved with the team don’t think so. All those horrendous hours of countless preparation are for something players and coaches love. About a few years ago, a football player at the collegiate level was told that he wouldn’t be able to play another down of football again due to his banged up h...
Have you ever wanted to be a spectacular quarterback? Have you ever wanted to lead your team to a Super Bowl and hold the prestigious Lombardi Trophy? Well, that is going to be one of the hardest things possible. There are a number of things that would be helpful on at least getting drafted to a team, but to be great quarterback takes more than anyone truly knows. You may think football is simply running around and throwing a ball, but that doesn’t even begin to describe the finesse and challenge of the NFL.
