The definite answer is no. Today food trucks and food deliveries have been on the rise, and with this influx of mobile meals came a myriad of debates surrounding whether regulations are necessary to keep these moving restaurants in place. While most will say that food trucks and the like should have more freedom, in actuality these traveling eating services as a whole need to be regulated because they can be a huge distraction, can hinder local restaurants, and they must be limited on what services they can provide. The reason why this is important is for the fact that it shows why certain rules need to be in effect in order not to cause chaos. If food trucks and services were permitted to station anywhere, then there is a possibility that they could impede busy intersections or block off exits. Others might claim that these regulations are too harsh on food trucks, saying that traversing eateries is not a hazard, but these individuals ignore the reasons why food trucks are limited. If mobile eating were to have the freedom to set up shop anywhere, then a multitude of accidents and violations as stated before would occur. Having hard drinks that can be sold anywhere at any time is not exactly the greatest idea in the world. While sit-down restaurants at least provide an enclosed space for boozed individuals to knock out, food trucks leave these individuals to either knock out in the parking lot, or the road. Having regulations to limit the free selling of drunk inducing beverages is a key factor in preventing events like car crashes from happening more than they already do. To conclude, while traveling restaurants have been making their splash in the culinary space, it is important to keep in mind that rules and regulations are needed to keep everything safe and in order. Important details including where vehicles are stationed, how they affect the local immovable kitchens, and the whats and hows they sell are all factors as to why precautionary actions are needed. Having the freedom to eat anywhere is a valid reason to be a fan of these food services, but it is also better to be safe while eating rather than not.
