People should be allowed to bring food into the movie theater. According to an article in SCOPE magazine "Is It OK to Sneak Food Into the Movies?," several years ago, a Michigan man sued his local theater for price gouging (16). His lawyer argued that "it's hard to justify prices that are three and four times higher than anywhere else" (16). Why would you or somebody else, want to spend eight dollars on candy and food at the movies when you can go to the store for the same snack for three dollars? You should not have to spend all your money there! What about plans or other activities later that day? Another reason outside food should be allowed is to have healthier options. I would want to eat healthy food while watching a movie instead
of eating candy all the time. "Food at the concession stands are mostly junk food"(16). Kids who want to, would like to live their healthy lives everywhere they go. Even though the theater industry agues that their concession prices are high because "Theaters makes as little of 20 percent of money from ticket sales"(17). and 80 percent of their sales came form snacks. However, If the theater would lower the snack prices, and bump up on movie prices then more people would be likely to come and spend money on concessions. Everyone would want the theater to lower the snack prices or allow us to bring our own food. This would be a win-win for all.

A dinner with both sets of parents follows, where the parents must come to terms with the bi-racial marriage. This film gives an insightful look into the realities of interracial marriage and proves to be useful in examining the components of interpersonal relationships.
Have you ever been to a movie theater where someone was snacking on an item not offered at the concession stand? A lot of people sneak outside food into theaters to enjoy and, personally, I think it’s perfectly fine. However, not everyone agrees with my opinion, in fact every three out of four movie theaters ban or punish people who bring outside food. Which side are you on, do you wanna have your cake and eat it too, or get kicked out for bringing it?
Imagine how bad you would feel having difficulty getting out of bed every day. This is what fast food does to you and why I believe fast food outlets should be closed down. This arguments three points to support this statement are that firstly fast food can cause health problems. Secondly, it makes you feel bad about your body, and finally they take money from the most vulnerable.
...e. A price gouger needs to charge more in order to avail the product or service. In the case of Raleigh, the roads to the town were not accessible due to fallen trees and rocks. An entrepreneur would need to cut the trees and remove the rocks in order to take the product there. People who do that need compensation for all the trouble they take to bring products to the market. The youths who brought ice to Raleigh town had to cut down trees in order to access town. Instead of selling ice as the “right price” of less than 2 dollars, the youths charged more than 8 dollars. The price provided just there right compensation for all their efforts. Banning price gouging led to serious suffering of the people because the little food left went bad causing even more losses. For a few dollars for the price of ice, Raleigh residents could have saved millions worth of food.
The intake of proper nutrients helps balance the maintenance of bodily functions; supporting the longevity of a healthy lifestyle. (Denton, Carolyn. “How does food Impact Health?” www.takingcharge.csh.umn.edu). With constant technological advance in the world, it is important to become aware of how frequent the world changes daily in preparation for self-maturity. What is a more effective way to approach the real world than to have a direct experience? The researcher will address the topic on why community high schools in America should allow its students off campus during lunch. Allowing children to have a better lunch option could help educational strength as well as attend to other essential needs. (Anderson, Melinda. “Do healthy lunches
In the article “Disney Discovers Peak Pricing,” S.K. London explores the differences between price surging and price discrimination. Price surging is a system that is commonly known to be used by Uber. Uber claims that when demand goes up, price goes up along with it to make prices and demand proportionate (Diakopoulos). London states that an article published in Bloomberg claims that “Disney introduced surge pricing to its theme parks.” He counters Bloomberg’s claim by explaining that it is not actually surge pricing that Disney has introduced, but rather, price discrimination. Disney is not price surging, London argues that Disney is price discriminating, that is, capitalizing on high demand for entertainment when children/teens have no
Michael Pollan discusses two categories of food: one is real food (the kind our great-grandmother would recognize), while the other is “edible food-like substances”. The category that needs defending according to Pollan is the real food. This category of food is minimally processed, fresh (will eventually rot), and includes mostly things that are taken straight from the source (the ground, tree, etc.). When one walks into a store, they should look for and pick the foods that are more “quiet”such as fresh produce than the ones that have more labels that say they are more healthy, or better for you.
.... Fast food industry should promote their healthy choices in their unhealthy, fatty food products by giving consumers the choice to add a variety of veggies and vitamins. They should add nutrition information regarding the products this way they can protect themselves and their customers.
Many cafeteria workers and staff members in 49 states have said many students do not want the governments new school lunches. Almost 7 out of 17 schools with have been seen with students throwing away some or all their fruits or vegetables, even the cafeteria workers are suffering under these new standards. About 60.3 percent of school districts want flexibility to be given to all schools to improve their ability to provide and give good nutrition without harm to any instructions and school district operations. Schools should know by now what is good for students and what is not, but they should not go overboard with the wheat and whole grain items. Another example that shows that schools should be responsible for providing a nutritious lunch is knowing that there are a variety of ways to make healthy foods taste good for school students. Healthy tasty food that will risk diabetes and obesity .One of the biggest reasons people do not eat healthy foods is because they feel it as if it will not taste good. The problem is, if your health food does not taste good, you are eating the wrong health food. Just because something is good for you does not mean it has to taste nasty, boring, or completely gross. There are plenty of ideas out there for eating healthy without making sacrifices on taste. “It is silly that people are worried about kids throwing things out. There are many ways to make
Movie theaters are focusing on moving from film projection systems to digital and 3D systems. With these added technological changes, ticket prices typically rise creating revenue gains for the industry. These changes are drawing more consumers into the theaters because the in-theater experience is something that they cannot get from online streaming at
Another point of reason I would like to argue about is fast-food restaurants are everywhere and it is difficult for one to find any alternatives. I would also like to ask of the consumers to look at it from another view. There are many choices available to consumers each day some can do harm, while othe...
The low prices at fast food restaurants may at first glance seem low, but the
Eating outside the home has always been a popular choice for Americans. Throughout history, hamburgers, for example, have always been a favorite food for Americans. “In 1925, when New Yorkers were asked to name their favorite meal, the hamburger ranked nineteenth.” (Schlosser & Wilson 2007). As the American population grew, so did different methods of transportation. The rise of car ownership in America brought changes to the restaurant businesses. Families were able to drive long distances to enjoy quick tasty meals. It was around the mid-twentieth century when the fast-food...
This leads to the next point, which is, unhealthy foods and snacks should be taken out of schools and replaced with heal...
Each year the movie industry earns more and more money. It's not just that movies are gaining larger audiences, and more movies are being produced, but it's the fact that movie prices are rising. Ticket prices are at a peak, selling in some places for as much as $10.50 a pop. Not to mention when movies come out for sale, most VHS start at a record breaking $24.99, and most DVDs start st $39.99. Why are the movie bosses charging this much? Simply because they can. People would probably pay even more if they had to, and in my opinion they'll soon have to. American has adopted movies into their family, and they don't want to stop watching them.
