I am living in Flagstaff and loving my life! I work in a research lab as a technician and a manager during the day and go to local community events at night. When the weather is right my friends and I go play in the snow. I get to give back to my NAU and Flagstaff community with my volunteer time and it has become my social circle. I worked in the MGGen laboratory during my time at NAU and even got published in a science journal! My work loves me and I help hire and train undergraduate students from NAU, since that was my own path. I loved my time at NAU and ended up getting my bachelors in Microbiology and minored in History. I even stayed and got my masters there. The only extended time I have left was for studying abroad in Canada. I have a lot of family up there and I also met some great friends there. I travel back there every two years to visit. …show more content…
I get up every morning looking forward to work and seeing everyone there. I love my job as a laboratory manager and I am excited everyday to be able to contribute to the scientific community, and the public as a whole. Along the way I have been recognized in a lot of ways. I graduated at the top of the class. I won a leadership award because of the club I started and led in school helped so many students get through college in the LGBT community. I became an honors ambassador and guru and loved it so much I give back to that community as a local alumni when I can. I even became intramural battleship champion for three years in a row with my
One of the most surprising and uncommon events happened to me in the summer of 2015, Sedona, Arizona. It started out as a pleasant summer getaway; visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona rock slides, and just having an amazing, memorable time with friends and family. One day, we decided that it would be enjoyable to have a picnic in the forest. The trees were deep green and lush. The tranquil, relaxing stream of a nearby river could be heard, and birds were chirping cheerfully. After lunch, we all decided upon venturing deeper into the forest near the river. On a rock, a single bright, pastel green caterpillar- equipped with unique spikes, caught our eyes. None of us had ever seen such a creature. We were captivated and intrigued. Since we were not
The main component I look for in college is their commitment to further my studies. I feel this college will provide an ingenious culture within the science field, therefore rendering myself with the building blocks necessary to later pursue the medical field. Not only does UNCW devote itself towards their student’s undergraduate years, but also by providing Professional pathways such as Pre-Medicine, students such as myself can go into Professional schools better prepared. In addition to my interest in the academics the school has to offer, I also marvel at the amount of extracurricular activities available to the student body. One student organization in particular is the Greek Life. When my mother attended this school, she was an avid member
Set in an unspecified Italian city and an unidentified year, the Cask of Amontillado is a short story that majorly revolves on revenge. Written by the much-celebrated literary expert Edgar Allan Poe, the short story is centered on the narrator who is hell bent exerting revenge on a friend who caused him great pain.
This is a chance for me to give back to the community. And to help the people who went through the same thing I did when I was younger. Steps that can lead to me being successful in life. What I can do to become successful as an x-ray and as a business. In college it’s important to me to build some type of relationship with my professors and my peers. This can also help me become successful in school and outside of life. The more relationships I can develop with other people I can get great connections with the help that I need as a business woman and a medical
My extracurricular and academic activities have helped mold me into a person with character and good qualities. These qualities--respect, humility, kindness, ambition, appreciation for diversity and collaboration, and courage--have not come without valuable failures and lessons. I can continue to develop these qualities and build upon these lessons as I go forward with my university goals and the desire I have to enter the healthcare profession as a nurse. I am able to look beyond the exciting, glamorous parts of both and see that there will be lots of hard work and difficulty. I am ready to face those challenges and do my best and give my all.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
I am Savanna Tozzolo and I am currently enrolled in Health Science 1, period 6. I believe that I am a qualified person for continuing onto the next level of the health and medical science program at SCHS because I am a good leader, respectful, compassionate, trustworthy, honest, self-disciplined and unique. When put in group I am a natural leader, members often agree that I’m the best at it. As a leader or member of a group the others can always count on me to do my part and contribute as much as I possibly can. I believe that respect and honesty are great qualities. I respect everyone and I tell everyone the truth no matter who they are. I want to make the world a better place and it couldn’t prosper without the people within it having those

A few seconds after coming back to reality, I knew the exact answer to my question. I’m here because I want to pursue my passion, practice medicine beyond any obstacle and into the community of the needed and address it through education and research. I want to be a person who will save someone’s life, a professional that with ideas and strategies can improve life quality for the community. I’m enriched by every circumstance I went through. Each experience that I encountered taught me the importance of healthcare, communication, and compassion. Though medicine requires sacrifice, it also provides the rewards I seek. I am aware of the commitment that I will be making. But overall, the challenge, the abilities, and the dedication required are what fascinate me.
My sister forwarded this job post to me, saying it was a perfect fit and I agree!
I came to Texas Tech with the goal of graduating with a degree in accounting. I always knew accounting would be a good field for me due to my organizational skills and the fact that every industry needs accountants. However, I had no idea what profession or industry I wanted to go into. In my time here at Texas Tech, I have had valuable experiences and have come up with several goals for events that will occur before and after earning my degree. The short-term goals I set in place for myself are to obtain an assurance internship with a Big 4 accounting firm and to get accepted into the MSA program so that I will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam after graduation. My long-term goals consist of earning a full-time position at the firm I intern at,
I hope you are doing well! I am about to start my second semester at Southwest Baptist University and I'm loving every second of it. I'm so lucky that I get to play volleyball while getting an education. I am working on a business major so that one day I can run my own boutique. This coming spring I will get the chance to travel through SBU to Honduras for a mission trip and I am super excited. What makes it more exciting is that I get to go with some of my volleyball teammates and my dad. This will be my first missions trip and I am so blessed to have the time and opportunity this year!
Being able to clearly understand how my job contributes to the Air Force, the Joint Environment, and the DoD is extremely satisfying. I take my work seriously because I know that what I do can have a direct impact on the military’s ability to fight and win wars. The personal achievements that I have experienced during my 22 years in the Air Force are also very gratifying. The work I did as a Security Policeman stand out the most. It was here that I went from a boy to a man in just a few short months and fully understood what it meant to be a part of the military. From humble beginnings in a small town I made the decision to enlist and take on a task bigger than myself. I had no idea what I was getting into.
I take pride in and put effort into all my work, whether academic or not.
Besides academics, fine arts and sports in school, I have attained leading roles in different groups. This year, I am the Spirit Leader of Student Council encouraging monthly goals and themes and assisting in school events. From creating a student council with a group of peers three years ago we have had success in many events and have found new ways to spread spirit, gather important information and assist with financial groups. Recently, I stepped up to be the leader of the fundraising committee for our ...
