There are five things that Richard Rohr told people about the process of our life and I have the some perspective with him on life process.
Life is hard:
From the moment people were born, different situation began to show up, with sad, happy and angry as our response. Two out of three are negative emotions; this is going to be hard if people want to keep themselves happy. As people are growing, people have to deal with others to make friends or further relationships. Responsibility will show up especially we need to take care of those who are close.
You are not that important:
There is an old saying that goes “No mater who died, our earth will keep running”. The world will run functional no matter who’s died and someone could be important for something or someone, but there are millions of others who could be replaced for a better option.
Your life is not about you:
Our life is holding in our hand, however the life people are having right now is base on their parents especially in Asia. Parents give their children life and an option in the future. With babies came out, they will have the responsibility for their parents and spouse. Negative emotions stop us from thinking and behaving rationally and seeing situations in their true perspective. When the negative emotion overrules a person then he tends to listen only to his inner voice, on which he has no control. Negative emotions should not be prolonged for a longer time and when it happens, the problem becomes more entrenched. Negative emotions, if not handled with patience and appropriate measures, it can lead to big disasters of any kind, for example, expressing anger with violence.

In this essay Sharon Begley's article "Happiness: Enough Already" critiques and analyzes societies need to be happy and the motivational affects it has on life. Begley believes that individuals do not always have to be happy, and being sad is okay and even good for us. She brings in the research of other professionals to build her claim that extreme constant happiness is not good for people. I strongly agree that we need to experience sadness to build motivation in life and character all around.

Of course, the emotion of happiness has always existed, but it began to be seriously contemplated around 2,500 years ago by philosophers like Confucius, Buddha, Socrates and Aristotle. Shortly after Buddha taught his followers his Noble Eight Fold Path (which we will talk about later), Aristotle was teaching that happiness is “dependent on the individual” (Aristotle).
