Fitness And Toning Aliyah.Jackson The reason I am doing fitness and toning is because it is something easy that I have been doing for a class. Everything in the class is pretty easy. Who is in the class? Lots of other kids and the teacher. The teachers name is Miss, Campbell she is really nice and understanding. There isn’t very many kids but it seems like a lot. What do you do in that class? On Monday we do yoga. On Tuesday we do 28 min. run around the track. On Wednesday we do cardio. On Thursday we do abs. On
Friday we do games our we play basketball or something. When does class start and end? At the school there is evens classes on Monday and Tuesday are odds and Wednesdays thru Friday are all the classes. So on Monday class starts at 12:24-1:52. On Wednesdays thru Friday class starts at 11:19-12:07. Where do you do your fitness workout? We go outside or if its raining we stay in the gym. It depends on the weather outside. Why do you workout? Some people just like to workout. Or it just calms people down. Or they like to be fit. Or they just have to cause they signed up for the class. How is this a good class to take? This is a good class because it pushes you to do better. Also the class is good because it keeps you fit. Its also a good chose of a class because you aren’t doing the same thing over again that is if you get bored of doing the same thing over and over.

I decided to sign up for aerobics/fitness because I thought it would do more for me physically and mentally than normal gym would. Personally I believe that normal gym is boring and if you’re not good at some sports like me it can be difficult to concentrate or even really care about gym class. When I took gym I personally didn’t care or really try hard. Now to this day it makes me disappointed, I wish I would have tried harder in what we were doing or what sport we’d be playing but I always felt no interest or left out. I liked some of the sports don’t get me wrong… for example I really enjoyed and tried when we would play Soccer, Basketball, and volleyball. Yet then again I didn’t favor too much Baseball, track, and swimming. I always felt uncomfortable in normal gym to. I was never really comfortable with the people whom I was in class with. But this year everything, my thoughts and ideas about a different kind of gym changed. I singed up for aerobics fitness because I thought it would help me in what I wanted to accomplish. I didn’t want to play sports I wanted to build my muscles. This year singing up for aerobics fitness was one of the best ideas I ever had. I can really say that I enjoyed this class more than most others. Aerobics fitness has helped me physically. I can run with out getting winded right away and I can lift weight I never thought I could lift. I can already tell a difference in my body. My legs are stronger and more muscular along with my arms. I am more active at home. I lost weight thanks to the class. Aerobics fitness has changed me in a couple ways. It though me to try harder in what I do. It thought me to set more goals for my self and beat them. I liked my classmates this year, which I think, helped me with being comfortable with the class. In this class I really enjoyed swimming. The game days are alright but I really like the way we rotate from weight lifting on the benches and on the different machines to the videos, the videos help a lot because after there done some times the next day you can feel it in your legs and arms.

Lastly, finding the time to get in extra walks has been working for me as well. When I have time in between classes, I put on my headphones and listen to an audiobook or music. It makes the time go by and it helps me get in some extra exercise. All of these things I am now doing in my life are realistic. Sometimes I wish I would have started sooner, but I was not ready to commit to my health.
Entering into the aerobics room, I see people stretching like a cat waking up from its morning nap. The instructor, a woman with nicely placed wrinkles, named Joanne, is beginning the first exercise. Everyone becomes excited like a child getting a birthday present, however, they knew it will be an intense workout, especially me. The music turns on and the sound of the bass cloaks the entire room. The first exercise commences, and my heart quickens to each thump in the music. The desire to punch and kick all of my stress fills me up like pouring a glass of water. Having this type of feeling shows that kickboxing has this power of relieving stress and I knew from then on that it would be a class that I would continue to take.
When I discovered that exercise courses are a required part of a degree programs I was less than thrilled. I decided to take walking and jogging because I reasoned everyone can walk. I was unaware of how much adding a walking routine to my schedule would change my everyday life. Since starting this course I have noticed some health improvements, found a way to get my family involved, and learned to schedule exercise into my basic routine.
