As I’m wrapping up my last week of my basketball career there are a few pieces of advice I wish to tell you. I hope that

My first piece of advice is if your going to play basketball, play for the love of the game not for the amount of playing time. There will always be girls who are faster than you, better than you, even stronger than you, but that shouldn’t matter. If basketball really is your passion then you’ll find happiness no matter what your role is on the team.

My second piece of advice can go for both basketball and anything else you choose to do in your life. If you do not 100% love something then don’t do it. Being unhappy can make a season really unfun and painful. It’s not worth suffering through with the hope of it getting better. On the other hand, don’t quit at the first signs of struggle. As you’ve probably figured out, your not going to be handed success in life, you’ve got to work long and hard for it. My advice is, don’t worry about what others think of you. Whether it be your peers or upperclassmen no one is important enough to make you lose sight of who you really are. Before you realize it those upperclassman will graduate and most likely won’t remember all the time you spent trying to impress them and before you know it you’ll be walking across the graduation stage moving on to your next chapter in
