Fine Art Classes In Schools

Fine art classes can be helpful to students in many ways even if they have different mindsets. However, fine art classes involve music,drama,dance,and art, but they also gain more knowledge and skills as they move on. Fine art classes should be recommended in all schools because it consists of simple classes that students take to gain educational growth,an improvement in confidence, and a possible outlook into future careers.

Initially, fine art classes are beneficial and should be recommended in all schools because they provide educational growth for students. ”Education and engagement are the key to success and are important in fine arts for every student in Katy ISD and the study of arts are important to our society now because they are a part of cultural heritage in every American.”(Katy ISD) This shows the engagement of students in fine arts and how learning is beneficial to

them.

This is good for students because they have a chance at being engaged in what they are interested in and it gives the student a brighter outtake on what fine art classes provides for them in the long run. However, it builds up more knowledge for other educational purposes, but they also look more into their own cultural heritage. Fine arts provide students not only to get engaged, but it also provides educational growth too, which is why fine art classes should be recommended in all schools.

Moreover, fine art classes are helpful and should also be recommended in all schools because it improves students’ confidence level and help them develop real-life skills to use in the future. Fine arts give students an opportunity to express themselves and be a part of the team without having to be shy, but having a boost of

self-esteem. “The arts help students gain pride and develop real life skills.”(Cheryl, Pgh.5). This evidence discusses how fine arts doesn’t only help students develop real life skills but it gives them pride. Students may love to sing,dance, or draw, either way they have a passion and put their heart into what the do, but it also helps them look forward into what they want to do in the future. Some may try to set goals and focus on a way to achieve them, or others might just want to have fun with the classes they take, but overall students develop good skills. The main skills students develop are communication skills that will help them a lot in the future. When joining a fine art class, students are a part of the team where they don’t need to know how to do things and be great at it, but the students are a part of a team who believes in each other and is always there for each other when times get rough. For example, these skills relate to education based off their learning in fine art classes. Reading skills relate to sight reading which is used in choir, visual presentation is used in art, and math skills are related to note worksheets, which are used in choirs that applies in addition. Students confidence level improves in fine arts due to learning everyday skills and a boost of self-esteem, which is also another reason why fine art classes should be recommended in all schools.
From here on, fine art classes should be recommended in all schools because it also helps students look forward to possible majors they might be interested in. “Fine arts in our schools enable students to develop their interest and talent in the arts at an early age, and every student benefits from fine art classes, even when their future career successes are outside of music,acting,dance, or art.”(2011) This shows how fine arts give students the opportunity to look at future references that will lead them to success in the future, even if students don’t follow any type of careers in music,drama, or art; they still have those skills to help them in the future. For example, someone may want to become a business person, but they still have to know how to communicate with their audience. In fine art classes, choir develops speaking skills with proper language and communication skills, which increases confidence levels when public speaking, and art provides visual analysis when presenting any information in a presentation. These classes are both good resources that improve communication skills in any career such as becoming a teacher,manager,or even just being a worker. Even though they might not apply in some careers, students will know these skills for future references. To others fine art classes may not look like it helps, but it has a big impact with the skills learned that helps students achieve their goals and those skills can be used in future references so students may have a bigger impact and experience on the outlook in future careers.
Some people may say fine arts won’t help students in the future at all and that they shouldn’t be in schools, when looking for future careers. The importance of fine arts being in schools worldwide gives off a large impact on students who love music,drama,or dance,etc. Fine art classes are important to the students because it gives them an extra place to be comfortable and be themselves. They give students the chance to explore themselves and get more involved because some students are shy and don’t always want to be in the light, but with fine art classes it gives them an increase in pride to be outgoing. Even though others may not be shy, they still have a chance and a place to put themselves out there and still explore who they are. “A 2002 report by the Arts in Education Partnership revealed that schoolchildren exposed to music,drama,and art are often more-proficient at reading,writing,and math.”(Tamara 2002) This evidence explains the potential growth students have when joining fine art classes and it tells the impact these classes have on students which leads to educational growth. However, fine arts classes are for anyone willing to try new things,do something they usually don’t do, or just to make new goals. Others may say fine arts doesn’t help when looking at future careers, but have they ever stopped looking at the cons and focus more on the pros? Mainly parents are the ones complaining about fine arts and how they don’t have the qualities required for their kids and that it’s a distraction. Some people may think that parents actually sat their kids down and asked them what they want to do or be a part in,in school and some parents could determine what they think their child is great and bad at just by looking at them and based off how well they know them. However, kids aren’t a reflection of their parents, their mixed with many different types of traits and genes which makes them unique. Just because someone makes a child doesn’t gives them the right to determine their choice in careers nor classes in high school, they have an option to try varieties of new things and see what they fit in with the most. Some may say fine arts doesn’t help at all and that fine art classes shouldn’t be in schools when looking into future careers, but it will do its best at helping students achieve the necessary skills needed for students to succeed in the future, which also helps students improve a lot.
