I considered it irritating to be asked by a teacher to rewrite something they have not read and explicitly state the revision should look completely different from the original. Then I realized the essay was a constant series of revisions as I worked towards a paper I would be satisfied to submit for a grade. I would like to share the evolution of my essay from my rough draft to the final draft I submitted to Brainfuse and finally through the completed revision.
First, upon completing my essay, I utilized Word’s grammar and spelling proofing, correcting a few tiny errors such as typos and removing extra spaces after punctuation. Then I used the free online version of Grammarly as my next line of correction. Here I revised my essay by changing

Knowing that I tend to write in a passive voice, I focused this phase of on rewriting the many passive sentences in my essay and inserting transitional phrases to better lead the reader to the next point I wanted to make. In my opinion, this phase primarily benefited the reader by showing a better organization of my thoughts and making it easier to follow my chain of thought.
Again, I submitted my essay to paperrater. While my score had improved I was still not content with the assessment so; I decided to dig deeper correcting some the mechanic errors of my writing. Here I discovered my essay had numerous short sentences and the majority of my sentence structures were very similar. So, I focused on combining sentences where possible to create a varied length of sentences as well as varying the complexity of sentence beginnings.
Finally, paperrater provided the grade of an A that I was working towards achieving. Now, I was ready to submit my paper for grading. Throughout this semester we have had to write many types of essays. Although this is a college English class there is still room for improvement. I made much improvement during the semester of the class. I was able to identify my weaknesses. I learned how to make improvements to the areas I was having problems in. Although each essay we did was different I was able to begin with one essay and throughout the semester turn it into two other essays. I was able to change my style of writing to fit the type of audience I was working with. I will continue to work on my writing and keep improving it.
Time sure does fly; in the blink of an eye, yet another 7.5-week class has come and gone. Just like life, it is scary to think that in just a few short years I will be graduating college and be in search of a future career. The magnitudes of readings, assignments, PowerPoint lectures, and videos have all contributed to the valuable knowledge I have gained since taking this course. Nothing that was presented or required was seen as invaluable towards my progression of career development. This career development course has allowed me to do some self-exploration, career research, and help me understand what influencing factors were related to the job market. Ultimately, this class helped me gauge and find a suitable career path, which will forever shape my future.
In the beginning of English 101 I was what you call a novice writer a person who only wrote what they felt was required. However, certain techniques that I learned in English 101 made me realize that writing was not about filling requirements; it’s about speaking out, exploring and proving a point. “Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.” (Trimble, 17) In John Trimble’s quote he tries to point out that writing is something that you grow with and learn as you go along. I believe this growth was achieved with a technique that was introduced to me by my professor called repetitive revision. The next paper I wrote was, The Tornado of the Century, it was a descriptive essay and I really focused on finding the small things in my papers to make them correct. I begin to use a website called paper rater and going to Mrs. Thomas for help during the next couple of papers, so I starting narrowing down the grammar mistakes to make my grade better. The third paper I wrote was, How to be a Wingman, I found out in this one that punctuation was everything, because I got some points off for using the wrong punctuation. However, taking out this grammar issues did help my grade in the end. The final paper I wrote was, Success, this was by far my favorite paper, because I knew how to look for grammar errors and punctuation errors. Even though I still took this paper to Mrs. Thomas, she was not marking it up to badly just for the fact that I learned these things over the course of the class.

Over the recent four months in Communication 1402 class, I have addressed three formal speechs and completed a number of chapters in the corresponding textbook “Communication Works”. This course of Communication aims to provide general information what public speaking is and how to address a public speaking. Having a minor in business and having health administration as my major, I have learned to appreciate the business classes’, especially the ones that focuses on technology. I feel my course work in MIS 3530 has allowed me to develop in serval core competencies. Over the 16 weeks, I have been able to learn more about computer systems, html, CSS, and coding videos. I have always loved computers, and for the most part I yearned to learn more about them as whole. I have never been great at coding, html, or cascading style sheet, and thus is why I decided to take the course.
Firstly, I need to print out the story which I had analyzed. Then, print my own analysis essay together with my professor’s comments on it and teachers hand out regarding analysis essay about how to do this assignment. In this essay, I had to print out my annotated bibliography that I had researched about my topic to revise my essay. Throughout this fall semester, I have learned many things. Before this class, I have never had to buckle down and plan out my writing so tediously. The many outlines, rough drafts, and final drafts have crafted me into a much better writer than I would have ever expected to become. While I have always considered English as one of my strong subjects, through this class I have learned that English has many more components than I originally thought. One of the most substantial of these components is a transitional sentence and through this class and the writing practice it has brought me, I have learned how to properly write them.
Throughout the Mid-SEE I have written reflections on my writing and participated in group activities. I have received comments back from my peers and suggestions to help with revising my paper. With the help of my professor, Professor Church and my classmates, I was able to comprehend their suggestions to me to make my essay better and by revising my classmate’s essays, I was able to point out mistakes that I might have made in my essay, which made myself go back to my essay and check and see if I had mistakes that just flew by my eyes.
It was a task that took a significant amount of time and effort, but was truly an excellent learning experience. I found it intriguing how much the original essay can improve or modify over time; moreover, how different ideas flow through your brain each second. The revision of my essays taught me an enormous deal about writing and was genuinely pleasurable to do.
Over the past semester, I have found the most challenging part of this course to simply be the transition from high school composition classes to college. Because writing expectations are so different in college than in high school, even with AP and Dual Enrollment “college level” classes, I first found myself being overwhelmed with the pressure to write the perfect first draft. The pressure came from knowing how much a final draft of a paper contributed to my grade. This left me sitting in front of my computer for hours at a time with thoughts of what I wanted to say racing through my head, but unable to deliver these thoughts into organized, structured sentences. I learned, through writing my persuasive essay, that instead of trying to write the paper start to finish and already in its perfect form, it is easier for me to look at the paper through its different components and focus on them individually, then work to best organize my ideas fluently.
