Throughout our journeys of life, we are faced with decisions everyday that impact us in someway. These decisions can be huge like getting a promotion, or small like getting a good grade, but all equally as impacting. While growing up, you are faced with these two types of decisions daily. The way you approach these decisions and make them is a good outlook into your future. External factors such as: your environment and peer groups play an important role in determining how you make these decisions. Even though I have not yet experienced my threshold moment in life, I’ve faced major decisions and events that have impacted my life substantially. Experiences in life can effect your journey into adulthood. On September 25, 2014, I experienced an event that has had an extreme effect on myself and journey through life. My senior classmates and I watched a school and community turn upside down in two short days. The loss of one of our dear classmates impacted all of our lives. This negative outcome turned into something positive in all of our lives. I’ve watched a broken school unite because of a traumatic loss. In my journey to adulthood, I will forever remember the impact this loss had on myself and my classmates. I will forever endure the growing love and compassion towards my community and peers throughout adulthood. As an adult, I hope to remember this bond each of my peers made with each other, and continue fighting through this journey. The next four decisions are future plans. Each of these decisions I plan to make in the future are to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood, and happiness as an adult. The second decision, my threshold decision, will be to graduate high school. After graduating high school I become independent. At this moment, I will begin to make decisions for myself, rely on myself to stay healthy, and provide for myself. By graduating high school I am one step further to my ultimate aspirations and goals, because this is the start of all future career and education

I cannot stress enough the amount of pressure I undergo because of this decision. This decision is what will lead me to ultimate happiness. I strive to find a job that supports my needs and wants while also being something I love. The final decision in my journey to adulthood is starting a family. Within all of these other decision or events I will meet new people. Out of all those people I hope to find my soulmate. I strive to find my soulmate and begin a small family like the one mentioned above. After completing this decision I will feel complete in my journey. Movies can be a good representation of your journey into adulthood. One movie that represents my life is The Breakfast Club. In The Breakfast Club a group of kids come together in detention. The typical stereotypes, jock, nerd, prep, unusual, and innocent girl all meet in a library together. They soon come to find out that these stereotypes are wrong. Each of these five people open up to each other and become friends. In my journey so far, I’ve learned this lesson. Throughout my high school career I’ve came together with many other stereotypes. We’ve learned a lot from each other, and grew together. This lesson will benefit me in making these six decisions above and reaching adulthood by teaching me new core values and
