The movie that I chose is ‘Airlift’ (2016). It is a Bollywood movie with Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. It is inspired by real life incidents of human evacuation especially in war zone areas. The story, based on real incidents, is set in 1990 in Kuwait, the time of Gulf War when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. The 1st Gulf war

Conclusion:
The movie ‘Airlift’ has depicted a very clear picture of the Gulf war and it’s consequences and impact over the civilians by highlighting the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait but a very negative image of Iraq is shown although the invasion by Iraq was on some valid reasons but in the movie the Iraqi government and military officials are portrayed very badly and as rapists and selfish people.
Further, the movie has failed to highlight the entire scenario of the Iraq invasion as it did not depict the ending of the war and the cease fire between Iraq and Kuwait which led to the closure of the war.
Also , the movie depicted a very negative image of Kuwait government by showing that it had fled leaving behind Kuwaitis to die whereas in reality the government officials ran to Saudi Arabia for help.
Moreover the U.S and U.N intervention in order to cease the war is not portrayed infact the movie portrays the image that there was no external help provided by foreign and other Arab countries to Kuwait whereas the other Muslim countries of Arab league united and stood up for Kuwait against
