The policy of this paper is to revise all girls’ schools’ curriculums. The administration of all girls’ school should revise their curriculum with the aid of professional feminist groups to pave way for the students’ freedom of choice. The people that will be involved in this policy would be the students, the teachers, and the school’s overall curriculum and way of teaching. These revisions need to be done because the existence of feminism in all girls’ schools tends to trigger misconceptions on what the true meaning and purpose of feminism is. Gabriela Women’s Party is an organization that advocates women’s issues such as violence, rape culture, health, censorship, globalization, human rights, and other issues affecting women. Meanwhile, Miriam College’s WAGI, is an institute that advocates women’s empowerment and the equality of genders in the society to create a win-win situation to all genders. These are some of the organizations that can help with the overall revision of the curriculum in all girls’ schools because of these organizations have proper foundations and knowledge on what feminism truly is. They uphold a non-sexist environment, they are dedicated to advancing the rights and promoting the well-being of women, they are determined to encourage and harness a woman to her full potential, and they offer a different perspective of women’s empowerment in terms of human rights, social justice, value formation, democracy. Feminism is a word that is stock-full of implications, and has many misconceptions. Full Frontal Feminism by Jessica Valenti attempts to give a broad overview of what feminism is, and how you should feel about it (hint: it’s positively). The book is directed primarily towards the younger generation, and talks about a variety of issues relevant to the feminist movement today and in history. The weaknesses of the book include the casual writing, the assumptions Valenti makes, and the contradictory statements that are consistently made. The strengths include providing an entertaining, broad overview of feminism, and discussing ways to contribute to gender equality. Overall, the book is more likely to be a positive experience for high-schoolers that identify as women then college-aged individuals looking for a critical analysis of issues society faces in regards to gender inequality.
Some see the importance of giving girls the same opportunities as boys, and some do not. Matt Forney discusses his views in his article “The Case Against Female Education” where he urges readers to stop women from going to college. In contrast, Chima Madu hopes to sway his audience to support women in his article “Why We Should Support Girls’ Education”. Both works discuss the importance of girl’s education from different points of view and use similar strategies to present their views to their audience. The basis of Madu’s rhetorical strategies are more sound and appealing to the reader and provide a strong support for his argument; while, Forney’s argument is backed by less developed strategies that incite readers but provide no evidence.
Women’s participation in school or the workplace are negatively affected because of the fear of violence, and many long-term health consequences arise from physical and sexual abuse. Heartbreakingly, a woman in South Africa has a “greater chance of being raped than she has of learning to read” (Tracy 6). In the patriarchal society of China, infants or fetuses face death simply for being born female (Tracy 18). After reading the reported incidences of violence against women, it is nothing but frustrating to hear women not supporting feminism. The word “feminist” has caused turmoil wherever it is uttered. It has gained a negative connotation, and is often mistaken with misandry. While these claims may be true for a minimal number of feminists, the truth is that in order to get an accurate representation on what feminists actually believe one would have to go to the source. The two main problems with that, are that first of all, it is “not rigidly structured or led by a single figure or group”, and most importantly there is not just one kind of feminism, there are hundreds in each aspect of our life (Tavaana, 2014). The most under represented group within feminism is the kind that is in the government. Not all have the same theories, and therefore, do not have the same beliefs. However what we do know is that, whatever theory they have, or agenda they follow, they are all fierce promoters of gender equality.

Human society can be compared to these natural phenomenon in the idea that society can have radical changes given the right forces and allowed enough time. This can be seen in the great revolutions of the world such as the Industrial Revolution, an economic boom, the American Revolution, a political movement, and the Civil Rights Movement, a social revolution. The focus of this research is how the feminist movement has been and is viewed but the American public and how it has affected the economic and social standing of women in the past three generations. Through the interviews of Patricia Santangelo, Barbara Santangelo, and Larissa DePamphilis, this investigation hopes to analysis the differing views on feminism, gender roles, and educational and economic opportunities for women in the generations of the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y.
In a society where equality is constantly fought over, there are bound to be disputes. Feminism, the movement to create empowerment and equal rights for women, has been criticized by those who argue who, what, and how feminism should be fought with. Many conservative feminists believe that succumbing to men’s pleasure is never the answer, whereas “lipstick” feminists believe that they should be able to use all of their essence in order to establish equality. However, society needs both women and men equally. Feminism shouldn’t focus on how women reach that equality, but rather to reach that point of equality in the first place; with anything they got.
This course of women and gender studies, as would all courses, have produced awareness by coherently explaining the situations women are facing in the world today. One may not know of theses situations until taught. By learning of these occurrences, one can properly act upon them. Many women and men have taken the opportunity to attend classes on women’s and gender studies and have since then made strides to make a difference in the unjust society that must be faced.

There is so much baggage surrounding this term that clarification of what feminism is and is not, is essential. According to David Brooks article titled “Honor Code,” the reason why boys especially, are falling behind in education is because of the way the education system is set-up.
