This research paper tackles two of the most famous novels in the history and their writers are considered legends. The first novel is "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" by J.R.Tolkiens which is the first book of a trilogy that were published after it and later on made into movies. The second book is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone" by J.K.Rowling which is also the first book of a series that consists of 7 books and were turned into 8 movies. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien is a well-known fantasy writer, philologist and poet. He is best known for writing The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is about a magnificent tale of an adventure that will plunge the members of the Fellowship of the Ring into a perilous quest. The novel begins with Bilbo Baggins, hero of The Hobbits, who carried a powerful ring to protect it from the evil force but then he decided to leave his town for good and left the ring to his heir Frodo Baggins. After many years Gandalf arrives to the town to tell Frodo that this is not just an ordinary ring and that he is in a grief danger, The Ring is inherently evil and it will corrupt and betray everyone who wears it as it wants to make its way back to his original master Lord Sauron. Gandalf tells Frodo he has to get out of the Shire because Sauron's men will be coming to look for it. Frodo escapes with his best friend Sam and his cousins Merry and Pippin and almost gets killed so many times. When Frodo arrives at Rivendell, the council agrees that the ring must be destroyed and for that someone has to go to Mount Doom to throw it back into the lava that Sauron used to make the Ring in the first place. Frodo chooses to be the one who destroys it so Elrond sets up a Fellowship of nine to accompany him. On that night infant Harry lost both of his father and mother and so he was secretly moved to his non-wizard aunt and her family the Dursleys to look after him. Harry grew up in his aunt's house not knowing anything about his past or who he is but he always felt that he is different and that was the reason why the Dursleys hated him as they hated everything that was out of the ordinary. When Harry celebrated his eleventh birthday owls started arriving to his house to tell him that he is a wizard and that he is accepted in Hogwarts a school for witchcraft. Later on Harry learns all about his past and Voldemort, he also makes new friends including his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger not to mention his enemy Draco Malfoy who thinks some wizarding families are better than others. The adventure begins when Harry and his friends learn that there is something hidden in Hogwarts and that someone is trying to steal it, together they try to solve the mystery of the philosopher stone hidden in the castle. With the help of his two friends, Harry was able to save the stone from his so called teacher who was helping Voldemort trying to get his strength back. At the end of the year Harry leaves
