When an individual is challenged with circumstances unfamiliar to them, it is best to respond by remaining calm if they are to restore some sense of normalness in their lives. “Fear” is a short story by Anne Frank about how she has to surpass her fear and uncertainty and will be my main source. I have also experienced many situations in my life in which I had to be calm in the face of adversity in order to restore a normal environment. In “Fear” it describes Anne as she is running from the explosions and other frightening sounds that were coming from the street. She and her family are in their home when they heard the sound of guns firing and bombs going off in regular intervals. They run outside
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live during World War 2? Life during World War 2 was torture if you were jewish, especially if you were a kid. Felix Salingar from Then by Morris Gleitzman and Anne Frank both knew what it was like. Their stories both describe the lives of jewish children hiding from the Nazis, in fear of being taken and killed. Throughout both of their stories, many character traits were discovered about them that show how they are similarly affected by the events in their stories. Anne Frank and Felix Salingar have many similarities, some of which stand out more than others.

Not me, I liked it from the start, it sounds so reassuring, especially at night. You no doubt want to hear what I think of being in hiding. Well, all I can say is that I don’t really know yet. I

(620) That is a prime example of how people change when they are locked in the same room, because before the Franks went into hiding, Mrs. Frank would have never snapped on somebody the way that she did. During this time in history, Hitler had all of the Jewish people taken to concentration camps and did unimaginable horrible things to them, so that’s why all the Jews were either taken to the camps, fled to other countries, or went into hiding like the Frank family did. Just being the race that they were, courage alone. Anne and the rest of the family had to have courage and be brave because they wouldn’t have survived through the war if they were cowardly and fearful about where their next meal was coming from or if they were going to be caught in hiding.
Anne Frank has been hiding from the Nazis for about 25 months during the Holocaust, trying to stay alive. " Anne Frank's voice becomes the voice of six million vanished Jewish souls" (Diary). This shows how Anne is an important girl to the world and proves that she should be respected as one of the deaths due to the Nazis. Her voice will always be known as the girl from the Salemian 2 Holocaust that tried her best to stay alive and wanted to live and did not want to get caught. When Anne Frank says "I am grateful to God for giving this gift, this possibility of developing myself"(Grobman).
Anne is one of the hopeful with fear. In The Diary of Anne Frank, on page 10 in Act I she writes,“A few days ago, Father began to talk about going into hiding. He said it would be very hard for us to live cut off from the rest of the world. He sounded so serious I felt scared.” Even though Anne had strong hope, she got scared of what was going on. Reality will strike in everyone, and it will scare almost everyone. This is where fear comes from.
The Diary of Anne Frank has many themes including love, youth and isolation. Anne loves Peter, but she is a young girl and she is naive and gullible. She tries to experience something nice in a time of sadness and darkness. She is young, a thirteen year old trying to survive the Holocaust. Also there is isolation, her ‘family’ is living in an attic in the middle of Europe.each day for about twelve hours she can't talk, or use the restroom, because if she does they would get caught and probably die.’’ About the noise. While the men are in the building below, we must have complete quiet... So, to be perfectly safe, from eight in the morning until six in the evening we must move only when it is necessary, and then in stockinged feet. We must not speak above a whisper. We must not run any water. We cannot use the sink, or
All Jews were suffering from the Holocaust in 1933. Six million Jews were murdered and and nine million were put in concentration camps. Every day a few hundred would die from either the work they had to do in the camps or the food. It was hard for most of the Surviving Jews because they have lost their loved ones. Many got separated from their families in the camps. Literature helps us honor and remember the victims of the Holocaust because it helps us understand the emotions the Jews were feeling in the camps and in hiding, and it helps us understand the experiences from personal stories

The topic that I’m going to research about is Anne Frank. I am interested in this topic because I read a book written by Anne Frank, which was “The Secret Annex”. With the lack of information of the time period, I was curious about the Holocaust, concentration camp, WWII, and Anne Frank and I wanted to know more, not just about the limited information that the diary gave me. After I searched online about Anne Frank, WWII and the Holocaust, I wanted to know more about the relationship between Nazis and Jews. Later, I started to research and know more about Anne Frank, Jews, and Nazis, thus leading me to choose Anne Frank for my research topic.
On June 12, 1929, at 7:30 AM, a baby girl was born in Frankfort, Germany. No one realized that this infant, who was Jewish, was destined to become one of the worlds most famous victims of World War II. Her name was Anne Frank. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank and B.M. Mooyaart, was actually the real diary of Anne Frank. Anne was a girl who lived with her family during the time while the Nazis took power over Germany. Because they were Jewish, Otto, Edith, Margot, and Anne Frank immigrated to Holland in 1933. Hitler invaded Holland on May 10, 1940, a month before Anne?s eleventh birthday. In July 1942, Anne's family went into hiding in the Prinsengracht building. Anne and her family called it the 'Secret Annex'. Life there was not easy at all. They had to wake up at 6:45 every morning. Nobody could go outside, nor turn on lights at night. Anne mostly spent her time reading books, writing stories, and of course, making daily entries in her diary. She only kept her diary while hiding from the Nazis. This diary told the story of the excitement and horror in this young girl's life during the Holocaust. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl reveals the life of a young innocent girl who is forced into hiding from the Nazis because of her religion, Judaism. This book is very informing and enlightening. It introduces a time period of discrimination, unfair judgment, and power-crazed individuals, and with this, it shows the effect on the defenseless.
