One of the most important cyclical cycles in life is fashion. Fashion is a never-ending cycle of creating new designs and bringing back the most important trends from the past. With every decade, there is a new generation of fashion. The nineteen-sixties were all about love and expression and the nineteen-seventies were all about disco and fun. Then it seemed that an entirely new era of fashion was born in the nineteen-eighties. Everything about fashion seemed to have a new twist to it. In the nineteen-eighties, the unique style of punk pop greatly influenced Americans all over the country.
Girls seemed to have gone through a dramatic change during the eighties. A sense of power was realized by the women and the want to express this power and their individuality came with it. The clothing that girls wore would have surely been looked down on in the previous decades but were welcomed with open arms. Some of the biggest trends included; bold neon colors, loose shirts, tight pants, and plenty of lace. Though girls had been sweet and proper before the eighties had seemed to bring a sense that you just could not contain them. The men also reached their peak in the mid eighties. ...people will look back and wonder what was ever going through everyone’s minds and wondered how any of them thought it was cool to dress that way. Sometimes you have to just imagine what was actually going through someone’s mind back then. When you had so many influences on TV and in the music industry it would have been unusual not to dress like everyone else. The eighties were one of the most unique and bright decades of the twentieth century. Instead of going with what was supposed to be done everyone pushed the limits and dared to be different and this is what made the eighties so unique.

In the 1960?s, society was changing by the minute and fashion was ?anything goes?. In the early sixties, Jackie Kennedy influenced fashion with her elegant, stylish outfits and her trademark pillbox hat. In the late sixties, the ?mod look? was popularized by go-go boots and mini-skirts, while bellbottom jeans, tie-dye shirts, long skirts and peasant dresses were worn by the hippie culture. Glance through any fashion catalog or magazine in the nineties and you will see models wearing the same fashions popularized in the late sixties. This illustrates how the 60?s contributed to today?s fashions. In the sixties, people in television, film and movies became the new socially elite and their influence had a profound impact on fashion, attitudes, and social values. In the nineties, supermodels and sports figures have joined this group. The fascination the public has with c...
The advancement from conservative to liberal thinking, eventually resulted in revolutionary changes in cultural fabric of American life. The 60s was a decade of sweeping change throughout the fashion world. Previously, fashion was aimed at mainly the wealthy and the mature elites, but as the decade began to unfold, the tastes and preferences of the youngsters became important. Parisian designers dominated the beginning of the decade with their outstanding ability to implement their own ideas into their clothing.

If we didn’t have fashion then a lot of people wouldn’t have jobs because there are a whole bunch of fashion designers out there, also all of the celebrities wouldn’t have name brand clothing because there would be no way to make them because we wouldn’t have designers. Fashion of the 1920’s played a very big role in today’s fashion. Including the material our clothing is made out of also the styles of clothing we wear. Many things women wear today first came from fashion in the 1920's. Flappers, shoe styles, and accessories are a few things that we wear today have came from. Many celebrities still wear some things that people wore in the 1920's including flappers. Have you ever wondered what the amazing fashion of the 1920's was like?
Fashion has been developing for as long as the Earth had been around, but the style people track today redirects generally to what was brought up during the roaring twenties, the era of a luxurious life. Women’s sartorial will experience many more future modifications which are predicted to be less modest and conservative. Men, on the other hand, will most likely not endure many changes. As fashion flourishes, society’s image on women, as well as men, will renovate into a more exposed mentality with a greater assortment of acceptance.
In the 90’s, the concept of music was a huge explosion compared to previous years, though there were many more acts of creativity. Primarily, music played a huge part in society as apposed to other decades. Most well known from this time were the bands Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime and Rage Against the Machine, just to name a few. These bands most defiantly showed the creativeness that America possessed and is proved by the amount of 90’s music that is still widespread. Another concept of creativeness was fashion. Two main forms of clothing came around that set America aside from the rest of the world. This was the beginning of jeans and flannel shirts. Having these pieces of clothing widespread throughout the country defiantly set America apart. Finally, pop culture in this era also showed our nations creativeness. Pokemon had stuck out the most from everything else. The production of millions of “baseball cards” with animated animals on them was a huge sensation for kids and teens across the country. The enjoyment of having a strong pull of creativeness in America was not a bad thing at all, yet a decade cannot always be perfect.
...and roller-skating were the "in" thing, and designers caught on quickly with new fashions that were practical and stylish for such activities. People were slimming down and the ideal woman had a slender figure. At the beginning of the decade, natural was the key, and women were burning their bras. Leotards, bodywear for the gym, and sweat suits were stylized for this exercise and health-concerned decade.
In the early nineties, women were hyper-sexualized and viewed as pawns in a game. MTV showed music videos with scantily clad women which were seen as extremely scandalous at the time. The nineties was also an era of growth, liberalization and sex...

The swinging 60's were at their height. Women's hemlines were very short. Fashion in the 60's tended to encourage exhibitionism. Gaudy accessories such as perspex rings and earrings and fold chain belts.
A Single Youth Culture Youth culture and youth subcultures have been a subject of research since the early 1930s. It is most certainly true today that there is not one singular youth culture but a variety of different youth subcultures. The 90's can not be described as the same as the 60's or 70's or even the 80's. There are many reasons put forward by sociologists for this such as there are more styles available today, media influences us more and there is a higher disposable income per household to spend on fashions. This paper will explore the reasons behind the existence of youth cultures in previous years and why the same format has not occured in the 1990's.

Movies and Tv shows were amazing during this time but the “icing to the cake” of Entertainment came from videogames as gaming companies fought to get more support and purchase of their consoles and games as gaming became popular because of these games Super mario, Pokemon, Mortal Kombat, Sonic, Zelda and Tetris. Fashion of the 1990s was wild and colorful with crazy geometric shapes and If your clothes were not baggy then you were considered lame. Plenty of popular clothing brands in the 21st century made their launch to popularity because of the 90s. The group who molded 90s fashion to be greatest where the youth, the youth were the ones who started so many popular fashion trends that would make the 90s have a unique look.
