Wally Amos, the founder of Famous Amos Cookies, is an American actor turned baker. He is the one who created the cookies that are well known and almost all the people around the world enjoy it. Before created the Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Company, Wally Amos had been a successful talent agent with the William Morris Agency in New York City. Amos turned into baking after he was tired of show business. He learned to cook and bake from his mother and grandmother when he was still a teenager. He decided to bake cookies professionally by starting torent a small storefront to sell his cookies. With financial support from his celebrity friends and former clients, Amos formed The Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookie Company in 1975 (reference for business, 2015).

Eventually Amos created another company called Chip and Cookie. The new cookies are slightly different from the Kellogg version or variation and is only ran by Wally himself.
